Currently, sim doesn’t have proximity kill credits for crashes or pilot ejections. It is understandable that this feature might be abused by bot operators to gain kills and score faster. But I ask you guys to at-least implement kill credits for players ejecting when your missile seeker is tracking them.
I don’t think this feature would be abused by bot operators since the missile would kill the targets anyways. Lately, I’ve been seeing more and more players who would just eject if their RWR goes off.
I am attaching an example clip from a match today.
If this is occurring, hit up the Game Masters, as this is actually bad playership, akin to those who j-out in tanks when they’re being targetted in the same manner.
It’s also not passive behaviour, it’s bad playership/sportsmanship… It’s a bit higher in the chart of offence.
There’s been a few youtube videos that even showed up in my feed popularizing air sim not as a game mode to have fun in, but to afk drop bombs on airfields for quick event scores or farming RP with premium to avoid the spawn cost issue.
I imagine we can attribute the uptick of No-honour gameplay to that.
This has been occurring for a while. More so in recent times. When contacted, their standard response is to report it in game and they’ll take care of it. I’ve already reported few people with more serious offenses to GMs, Those players never got punished.
This is one such post which I forwarded to several GMs. The player(s) in question never got punished and I still see them regularly in sim.
Mind out that they won’t tell you if they got acted upon, but also if they claim to not have been acted on to take that with a truckload of salt…
You want to contact GMs by PM, but also do that with this… You want to hit them up as if they’re constantly doing it, then it should be very obvious about what theyare doing, and it should almost get to a point that the Community Managers should be stepping in as the bad players are becoming more and more emboldened by nothing seeming to be being done, or precedents being set.
I am aware of that. But I literally saw those players roaming in sim (after the complaints) without a care in the world doing the same shit. I also periodically check if those players have any penalty imposed on them (statshark website shows this). I did not see any of them having a penalty except one guy who got a simple chat ban after several counts of offenses like team kills. Do you think this is a fair reporting system?
FYI, game masters are not employees of Gaijin but rather volunteers. They do not have any obligation to spend their time to go after all the reports. They claim that reports are acted upon only after manual verification to avoid false penalties. But given the population of the game and the number of game masters (combined with the fact that they only check these reports at their convenience), this leads to nothing but a hit or miss (miss being the common case) reporting system. Gaijin with its stingy tactics is the only one to blame for this.
Keep taking it to the Game Masters, and escalate it if you don’t think it’s going right.
I had to hit them up a lot about my situation where players were j-ing out before the bomb blew in ground RB, and even then they only acknowledged it as bad player behaviour rather than the exploiting that it genuinely is.
If enough do report it and show it, they’ll have no choice but to acknowledge that it is an exploit and that those doing it are exploiting to avoid giving an enemy the kill, no matter how much those who excuse it try and say that they died anyway…
It’s about avoiding that credit, when there’s not a j key IRL, and you have no choice what you die to.
Keep taking it to the Game Masters, and escalate it if you don’t think it’s going right.
I do report to GMs in case of repeat offenses but that should not be the case right? Affected players shouldn’t have to follow up with mods to act on their reports, especially when several reports were lodged against a single player.
I’ve reported one guy to GMs several times with video / replay proofs of intentional team-killing. He was never banned. He still plays daily (just checked in replay page).
Keep fighting them.
It seems that this behavior has trained the farmers to hope that we will get fed up with fighting them and leave.
It’s really annoying, but in their poor brains, the only reason we keep fighting them is because we’re doing the same development and tasks as them.
So we have no choice but to teach them that this won’t happen.
And we, the SB players, have to teach them that this mode is not a place for migrant workers to have their way.
