I love how the community goes from “ARH missiles are OP” to “Most of the players can’t get a kill with ARH missiles”.
The game has many problems, BR compression maps/objectives…etc.
A major problem is… the playerbase. When bigger maps came , many rushed to complain about them…
When smaller teams came, people rushed to complain as well…And many people that want that don’t even click the option or know it exists.
Forums , are a small vocal minority, not everyone attends…
Personal opinion, we need 2 separate game modes for RB. One stricktly dogfight and one PvPvE that is based around ground pounding objectives , with respawns etc. , more like EC.Different planes have different qualities that don’t really play part in the RB as it is.
2nd (unpopular) opinion… higher tiers… markers have to go. We have radars, let’s use them.
I don’t know… There was a dogfight mode in WW mode , we played jets, no markers …Phantoms against MiGs back there. I played MiG 17 and grinded MiG 21s…against Phantoms. Weirdly, i saw the quality of having a small , agile jet…found tactics ,deployed them. You’ve should have seen the whinning …
In general, while the game has a good big variety of vehicles it lacks polishing in gameplay.
On the other hand you can make missions and play multiplayer, but that’s not getting RP.
But if you really want fair MM you can do it…or realistic scenarios etc.
It’s us (the playerbase) that are so fixated in ARB, because it has easy access…
In fact if player lobbies gave RP, none would play ARB. And who cares if some people win-trade between them they will just go a boring process to research faster…
I’m saying this because in general we ask the wrong things many times…
If i’d ask something for tomorrow , it would be this… let player lobbies give RP… half the MM problems are solved.

But if you didn’t learned the basics in lower tiers, you are done at toptier.
The time Mig23 were toptier was a better time. Skill level over all was way higher.
I mean all they do is decompression and BR change and it changes nothing… So they need to try another aproach as making it diffrent for top tire, like bigger map, more objectives, trying to make change because ofc you dont like top tire cuz every single game is same…

A mode like Sim just with the ARB mechanics would be cool though. Big maps with respawn and objectives. Maybe without markers like in GRB and Sim.

I wasn’t aware that props had access to countermeasures ,rwr, fox1,2,3 nor do I remember notching ever being explained. There is definitely a learning curve from 11.0 up

(I’m not being mean or sarcastic, that’s literally the only point of the PVE objectives in ARB)
This topic ended up having a great conversation about the existence of PVE in ARB and it’s real purpose in the state of the game.
Not trying to be mean, but truly your purpose is to be farmed, so of course you’re not going to enjoy it if you are a self proclaimed PVE enjoyer.

Sure it is a learning curve over all BRs, but if you learned your basic lessons in lower tiers, positioning, tactics, defence playing and so on, it’s not that steep.
Watch the teams in prop battles. The majority has no clue about positioning. Majority rushes in to force headons or focussed on one enemy. The ones survive build furballs: The rest climbs to orbit without pressuring the enemy at all. No one holds alt because after one attack they have no tactic anymore except diving out.
And with this lack of skill they join jets, and guess what, same disaster.
And now they join toptier…
I used the Mig only as timestamp. It was 2021 I guess. Great fights at toptier, great fights in props.
One year later, F-14 time, everyone rushes through the trees without learning anything.
Even if you are an experienced and competent top tier player it is a very difficult game mode to really enjoy due to the small maps and over crowded lobbies.
My best guess is that Gaijin chooses not to reduce lobby size because currently players who are not very skilled, but just paid a lot of money to hop into top tier can reasonably expect to get some bases and a few kills here and there amongst the chaos of 16v16. If it was 6v6 or even 8v8 skilled players would seal club alot of paying customers out of the game or at least top tier before they learned the basics.
