My experience playing over the past few days shows that if you have Mavericks, it’s not difficult at all. The ones who struggle are those armed only with dumb bombs or LGBs, which are still broken.
Of course. And fix the damage model for ships while they’re at it.
This change benefits anyone playing sim who would like to spawn and takeoff without eating a missile or getting rocketed while on the runway.

This is fine, because you have to engage the SPAA instead of being able to ignore it altogether.
I’ve spawned into a non flashing airport and been killed while my engines start.
The sad thing is the attacking player gets zero points and I get to pay for a respawn… it wasn’t even worth their time.
I don’t understand the hate against people who pve, its fun sometimes and chill/relaxing. why shouldn’t we be able to do ground striking? I actually agree with scorpion on this part
That’s the right point. It’s the attacks on mini-bases and ground targets that reduce the enemy’s points the fastest.
The guy who flies just to kill doesn’t win the match on points, and in my experience, when I see players who only kill in some BRs, over time, or after killing about 10 enemies, they get bored and abandon the match.
What WT cannot allow is for the game to become frustrating even for those who only fly with PvE intentions (even if that’s not my case), which is an essential function.
We have to show a minimum of empathy for other players who don’t fly like us and stop with the hatred and flying lessons, as if those who fly PvE are criminals in a virtual game.
Don’t hate them in general, but what I do hate is them joining a lobby, “declaring” it a PVE-only lobby, I agree, 5 mins later I’m being pinged and shot at and then I’m the bad person for killing every single radar contact or suspiciously slow black dot I see.
Untrue. If we kill enough of you enough times and stop you from bombing (and even resorting to shooting down your bombs), you won’t drain our tickets but we’ll drain yours. Also, AI aerial targets are a thing and while we’re not bombing, those do drain tickets as well
yeah thats cringe. I’m talking about people that just ground strike, not the cry babies that mald after getting shot down or even worse those who j out to deny kills
Buddy, ‘we kill enough’ is in any case not about you, so if I were you, I wouldn’t worry too much.
I don’t hate people who attack NPC targets at all. Who I do hate are ones who SOLELY and EXCLUSIVELY attack the airfields and suicide doing it to deny you kills; or worse, mass reporting you for DARING to ruin their PvE farming session (by playing the game as intended and fighting other players), coordinating with the enemy team to ruin your match, or even outright teamkill you.
THIS, i had a really fun round yesterday where a friend of mine and me went and I destroyed the ITOs with maverics and he bombed the airfield with the buccaneer (he even got 2 air kills with the bombs). Enemies did the same with 2 fencers and a frog foot.
We all had a blast and watched each other fly by and sometimes got into stupid ahhh bomber dogfights.
But now imagine just both sides zombing into the airfield… Boring as hell to play and to play against
people that “just ground strike” are the people who play the objective and get us to win. Love these people. But just suiciding the airfield just hurts your own team
Don’t worry about those: Mass reporting will get them into trouble, as will coordinating with the enemy and of course TKing.
Misbehavior by such people should be reported, we’ll then take care of it.
I have a question btw.
If people Spam all there fox 3s and then J out to deny us the kill. Is that considered passive behavior or like against any rule?
Difficult to say for me, as we GM’s don’t handle gameplay related things, mostly chat related only.
I’d certainly report it (using server replay function)!

I hope so. One time I had to TK a “teammate” who launched a missile straight at me, while knowing full well who I was. He had done it once before and I didn’t feel like giving him the satisfaction of doing it again.
I’ll definitely use the server replay reporting more often.

I really thought this was satire for a bit, that’s how ridiculous your views are. 1 mini base? Quickly destroyed by a teammate, respawn too slowly, or eventually respawn near a runway. Convoys? Impossible to effectively attack without guided ordinance+ targeting pod with good zoom. Carrier? Requires way too many bombs for a mediocre reward
Reward isn’t that bad. Can be sunk even with unguided bombs.
They are the easiest targets, and thus are also the most commonly destroyed. If you’re already in the air and waiting for one it’s much easier.
I completely agree, I’m not good at playing realistic air battles, I like to fly with my favorite aircraft in simulator mode, however, what I do is the same as you do… I use aircraft like the F-111C, F-111F and the Jaguar GR.1A with laser-guided bombs and I focused on destroying modules of enemy airfields, I usually used to fly at 6k meters high and the SAM Roland 1 couldn’t do anything to me… Just today I was able to play in the same way again and I realized what the Roland 1 changed for an ItO 90 just when I was going at the same altitude, they threw a missile at me! I can’t investigate my favorite aircraft, now I’m being forced to bomb enemy bases which is boring for me, as well as “stressful” since the other players on my team usually destroy all the bases and have a good time while new bases appear… I know that many will say that I do PVP or that I am not a “zombie”, but that’s my way of playing and that’s how I have fun, I also contributed to my team since by destroying enemy airfields, the enemy team’s points decrease.
