Fix ItO 90M in asb

Man that sure is a lot of targets! I’m so glad airfields are pretty much off limits now…

Tunisia is known to have too few bases spawning too infrequently. It’s also a small map, thus airbases (and their defenses) and mission targets are concentrated into small areas. Compared to the larger maps like Denmark, Sinai, Afghanistan… it only has 1/4 of the area of the larger maps!

Thus I think Tunisia is quite possibly the worst map to chose for high tier attackers, and as an outlier NOT representative for the issues.

Knowing this, simply do not join a match on this map if you want to fly a high-tier attacker! It’s one of the big advantages of Sim EC that one can control under which conditions (map and BR) one fights, so use this to your advantage, and prevent situations where this signifies a disadvantage!

For the aircraft in your lineup of your screenshot, Afghanistan is a great map, with reliably spawning, well placed mission targets, and great terrain to evade the enemy. Denmark would work well too, especially if you want to use the Intruder against ships, Sinai of course as well…

For me when flying attackers it’s like this: Afghanistan > Vietnam > Sinai > Denmark,…

Btw see here for useful inputs for attackers in sim: Use of CCRP in Sim battles (Sim EC) | War Thunder Wiki

Especially section 6 is very helpful when it comes to Afghanistan and to some extent (especially when spawning in the South) for Vietnam…

I never really play those maps you mention. Don’t be so rude

I’m starting to think that he is right, you’re a stalker. This thread was about else and you came here talking again about that.

If you have issues with this guy you can use the goddam private chat. You cannot do this in every thread sim related. Nobody gives a F, thanks!

Well, if you make a sarcastic comment you might get one in return.

I offered a solution… not my fault you don’t like it.

I am not. He makes it seem like remembering a day long conversation and then being able to search for it on discord is something that is hard to do. The only reason I replied is that I was mentioned in the thread.

And the attitude that he has towards “sim tourists” is one of the easiest ways to kill interest in the game mode. I was treated the same way for having an opinion by the old sim community because I dared to have more hours in Air RB than Air SB and I didn’t have a 10:1 K/D or Top 20 TSS rating or Purple Thunderskill (yes…people in the sim community cared about this three years ago!)

Let me show you something really quick.

This is the blue side scoreboard from a match I joined at the very end earlier today. The guys circled in red are in a 4 person squad and the 4 guys circled in green are in a 4 person squad. (plus or minus a player because I recognize all of these names as experienced sim players) How do you think the game went for the enemy team?

The guys circled in blue are the experienced sim players that I recognize. They actually stuck around for a good part of the game and tried to give a good fight…but they did not do well. But more so than that…every single sim noob was farmed for score.

And it is important to note what it is like to play against a dedicated squad that is in VC while you are playing solo. Pretty much the instant you get the upper hand on one guy, then two more are glued to your tail, and usually in whatever plane happens to be the highest BR of the day. If it’s 5.0 day…guess what…it’s going to be a Ki-84 or an LF IX. If it’s a 6.0 day…have fun with the Yak-3U. Etc.

Now also keep in mind that the guys in the red squad will normally join games against the green squad; and the guys in the green squad will normally get frustrated and leave when hit by the red squad. So it looks like tonight that the blue squad guys decided to join on the same side as the red squad guys.

So what message does this send to newer sim players? Well the first one is that you need to always play whatever plane is the best for the day to stand a chance, and that in order to have a good game, you need to pick the side with better teammates.

It results in experienced players looking at lobbies, weighing the odds, and usually stacking one team. And stacking one side makes the overall experience much worse specifically for newer players that will make up the majority of the other side. Taken it’s logical conclusion is that it results in the sim community cannibalizing itself and the only thing that postpones that cannibalization is a constant influx of noobs.

the minibases are right there.
the convoys are right there.
the ground skirmishes are right there.
the A cap is right there.
the aircraft carrier is right there.
and guess what the enemy players are right there too.
only downside to the new sams is that they cover a third of the map on the smaller maps, which you probably shouldn’t be playing at 11.7 anyway

I’d rather have AF zombers than empty lobbies. Everything above 10.7 was dead yesterday even though the event was still ongoing. I did warn about this and the exact thing I predicted happened.

Load Mavericks and bomb the airfield AA. At least that makes more sense than attacking the convoys, which now disappear.

A bit iffy with Maverick’s range, as you’ll have to actually enter the Bubble, I think…

As early weapon, the Buccaneer’s Aj.168 is well able to reach within the Bubble, but it’s not very accurate (which is somewhat mitigated by the quite large warhead that may also kill the SAM with a near miss). Bring Pave Spike to be able to find and ID the SAM’s from a useful distance…

Further up, JDAM-ER’s I have tested to work very well, SDB’s too, and there will be quite a few more stand off weapons suitable to engage airfield defense.

No, no, people want every plane to be capable at everything, like a multirole. But when they get a multirole, they complain why the designated superiority fighters are still better.

This is a completely fictional, unreasonable take, but: What if teamwork was a thing? Like, imagine that 2 attackers like su25 are being covered by two fighters so they can complete the mission and reduce enemy tickets? Or that someone escorts the bombers to the bases (not the AF, since it’s useless), so that they can reduce the enemy tickets? In theory, sounds great, but what if nothing happens in these runs, attackers get chewed up by AA, bomber drops the boms and rtbs without issues. You have just spent 15-30 minutes (depending on map and BR) flying along enjoying the scenery and getting exactly 0 rewards for actually helping people achieve objectives for the greater good of your team. All this while X_JohhnyThePro69_X is just hunting enemies and shooting them down in A1. Since he is getting at least something, all people in capable fighters join him, and the cycle continues.

Nothing like that. When launched from medium altitudes, the Maverick has plenty of range to hit the ItO. Launch them from 16-17 km.

You will have to climb a fair bit to do it, but mavericks should have the range to get there. I will try it later.

meanwhile 10.7 F-4E outclassing both fighters and attackers at their own games lmao

Yup rip 3 vehicles worth of the rewards thx Obama (gaijin)

You have an entire aircraft carrier + maybe escort there btw

Two convoys. A carrier. A minibase.

Yeah there’s plenty to go destroy.
