Those are the main features and the main weaknesses. Wikipedia have nothing to do with what was it IRL
ok… what here tells us that the Mirage F1 was bad?
Oh and btw considering your claim that F-14s haven’t been destroyed…
the actual video is better but this is from June.
That’s the cover of a flight manual saying “restricted”
whats that supposed to tell me?
mf brought up the South African Mirage F1 manual as if you cant just get it online.
You can find the follow information in any AI search just typing “Super Mirage F1 project”. The disappointing result from South African Air force after face the truth in Angola War against MiGs directed them to this:
The Super Mirage F1 project was a late 1980s/early 1990s South African effort by Aerosud and the SAAF to modernize aging Mirage F1AZ fighters. It centered on replacing the original Atar 9K50 engine with the more powerful Russian Klimov RD-33 (SMR-95) turbofan and upgrading to modern avionics. The program aimed to boost combat performance due to international sanctions, though it was eventually cancelled in favor of other, more advanced fighters.

Vague wording like “better” or “upgraded” doesn’t really tell anything. Real life battle performance also doesn’t matter at all for the game.
If you think that there is a specific stat that a plane has wrong in-game then you need to show exactly what that stat is and provide valid sources that prove that the stat is wrong and then create a bug report on the bug report site.
Posting that X plane can beat Y plane does nothing productive and will get nothing changed in the game.
Also; AI is know to be wrong a lot of the time, unless you can find where the AI has found the information and know that source to be trustworthy, but at that point you might as well just use that source instead of the AI. It uses some really odd sources for it’s information sometimes.
For a lot of the planes where the manuals are de-classified and public this is probably still how the flight models are created: ( Flight model creation - War Thunder Wiki )

im gonna hold myself back from saying what i want to.
Just search for Super Mirage F1 project. AI, book, video. What you gonna use for it doesn’t matter.
What matter is how failed this aircraft IRL. We need that representation in WT instead to have such on steroid fake in WT
What part of it is fake?
Like a specific exact part.
no problem
i think i already made that point
Just imagine if you could though. FRS1 would need some pretty major buffs given it Beat the F-5E, F-15A and F-16 in dogfights IRL :D
An engine replacement due to an arms embargo proves nothing about the Mirage F1. Thats what most nations with a semi developed air force industry do. Engines break, no matter who made them or what engines they are. obviously an air force would need to change to an engine they can get a hell of a lot easier.
Italian F-104s once beat German Mig-29s in an exercise. clearly they must be buffed enough to reach that level.
an F-4F ICE got 5 kills on rafales in a training exercise
clearly it must be better

oh right and before this guy tries to say that theres no clear pictures of a Mirage F1 with magic 2s…

A Czech Mig-23 with Magic 2s. Magic 1s and 2s are made to be compatible with anything that can take sidewinders… and stuff like the R-13 come from sidewinders. hell, a Mirage 3 could probably take magic 2s lol.
Eurofighter with magic 2 when?
So when magic2 on f86 sabre? xD
with a modification to get enough coolant for the seeker? ye
How failed this aircraft is IRL? An aircraft that was produced in the hundreds, was sold to 14 different airforces, continues to serve 4 airforces to this day 53 years after it’s introduction and was actively involved in most wars between the 70’s and the 90’s? You sure have some high standards for success, if you think the mirage F1 isn’t good enough for it’s time.
Like you understand that even though the south african mirage F1’s were blocked from having radar or all aspect IR missiles by international sanctions, they still weren’t shot down by the mig-23ml’s that did have them? (one was hit, but made it back to the runway - if that counted as being downed, then the F-15 doesn’t have a perfect record). And by the way, more mig-23mls were downed over angola in 2 years of combat (7), than mirage F1’s over a period of 8 years (2).
Honestly the problem here isn’t the mirage F1 or the mig-23, it’s your warped perception of reality.
