Correct, however it is indisputable that the F-15J(M) is a direct upgrade to the F-15C in regards to A2A. The difference is negligible, but not zero.
That is easily the worst I’ve seen in a clip of this happening

The F-15J(M) is 400kg lighter, has the AAM-4, and the AAM-3. Overall its a better plane even if its small.

Did you actually look at the graphs that you posted? Or did you just see a bigger number at a glance and think it’s amazing? You’re not gonna notice 440 kg of weight loss in rb and the AAM 3 is not even 100 kph faster while you don’t see a significant change to the range over the 9M until 6 kilometers lmao. The only time you’re seeing a shot at 6 kilometers is if you’re coming down on top of someone from orbit.
You should pull up the graph showing the pull of the AAM 3 vs 9M too and show just how much more it pulls too. (I’ll give you a hint. The results are similar to the range/drag test in that it’s pretty minimal.)
Also what you didn’t point out with the AAM 4 vs 120 is that the 120 has more range, so it’s a sidegrade at best. This is what I hate about these arguments, you’re arguing over small performance differences that won’t be noticed 98% of the time. It’s like making a 100 ft tower and complaining about the one next to you being half a foot taller.
The irony is that you’re complaining about missiles that are artificially nerfed already in favor of keeping your aircraft from getting artificially nerfed.
Also my opinion on the whole 229 deal is that it should’ve been A: both planes get 220s until other nations can have something that can keep up to it. B: The F-15E is forced to carry its CFTs (not very likely since they’re running missions without them now irl). Or my personal favorite, option C: Both F-15Es get 229s and put up to 14.0. It is such a big upgrade that it shouldn’t sit with the rest of the 13.7s

And add an Su-30 or whatever would be an equivalent to F-15E. I’ve heard Su-34 isn’t like F-15E and isn’t just better than Su-27SM.
The Su-34 is a completely different aircraft yep. It does looks like a decent fighter, but it has no HMD. It can carry 6 R27ET however and I think that does make it pretty potent. I have to grind the entire bomber line to get it though so I won’t be able to test it anytime soon.
Better is better even if its marginal.

I never knew that War Thunder only have two nations in this game.
…On an aircraft that weighs 13 metric tons. EMPTY. Unless you’re doing controlled 1v1 duels I don’t think that’ll ever be something you gotta worry about vs fuel/missiles amount. Coincidentally that’s as big of a weight difference as between the US F-15A and the F-15J.
AAM-4 is still a mixed bag with its lower range and slightly better agility, its a sidegrade at best. AAM-3 has better range (not by much) and both are still underperforming.
Like sure these are upgrades but the differences are so small you’d be hard pressed to actually notice them without graphs and datamines. At most you’d notice the AAM-4 has less range but can pull a bit more if you’re relatively close. The rest is basically interchangeable.

The F-15JM is better enough that tournament players only use the F-15JM over the F-15C. The difference is small but better is better.
Also its not “slightly better agility”

I’m sorry, I’m just not that into planes, I’m mainly into tanks, mostly WW2 too. I like all war machinery though. I know something only about planes that are in the game with a few exceptions, I don’t know what would be the F-15E equivalent.
I mean, that’s the world after WW2. You have USA, USSR and everyone else is just a pawn. Currently China is replacing Russia.
+1, it’s just annoying. I wouldn’t want China to have the best Flanker variant or Germany to have the best MiG-29 variant either.
Btw this is gonna be reality. China just makes better domestic Flankers irl.

No, that’s a gross oversimplification of it. Especially when it comes to military tech which nations like Germany and France kept up to date with throughout the cold war…

They need to take care of 8 other pawns and bishops.
