No, they won’t.
Its how I used to shoot 'em down. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
because USA pilots don’t know what they’re doing. Nothing to do with the jet.
So everytime I watched a missile Ignore F14 and F4 flares, it was just the pilot manifesting that missile into himself?
Since at this point 9M’s for the bombcat are seemingly a taboo or whatever, just give both tomcats 7P’s.
That way we will get a non-paywalled 7P carrier for once (no, the one at 14.0 doesnt count) and thus both tomcats will be at least interesting in their own way. And then they can stay at 12.7/13.0.
It was the pilot not knowing how to flare… you got issues with reading?
F-15A and OP in the same sentence
better FM, better radar, better IR missiles
This works way too consistently, for everyone to just be too dumb.
So I find that just as believable, as them manifesting the hit on themselves, if it cant be the missile doing its job like you say.
USA pilots are the worst overall on average. F-14 has hot engines, you will still flare an R-60 everytime if you actually cut afterburner and flare correctly (ie dont fly in a straight line with the flares using you as a backdrop…)
Are you changing the subject? You said the F-15A is OP at 13.0, but no matter how you try to argue it, I still don’t see the F-15A as “overpowered” compared to everything else at 13.0 out there. Calling the F-15A OP is nothing more than flattery.
TWS is used to fast determine the enemy’s altitude, especially when there are multiple enemies, which gives you better situational awareness. It’s like an active RWR.
F-14A needs AIM-9L and the B model needs AIM-9M, they dont need to move in BR.
It’s “OP” in the sense that if 13.0 was decompressed, it would move up along side other similar 4th gens with IRCCM missiles like the Su-27s or F-2A.
However it isn’t OP in practice, just a plane that experiences severe BR compression.
Nonetheless youre barking up the wrong tree man. I included 11.3 planes only because knuckles mentioned them; I orignally limited my argument to 12.7.
If someone fails to flare R-60M with up to 700x CMs, can we say its the issue with flares?
Im not denying Tomcats might have issues with engine temp, but cmon. You can always turn off the afterburner and/or preflare.
I havent noticed any such issues with PD HDN radars, which sounds more like a bug. And i thats the case, unfixed bug shouldnt affect vehicle BR placement.
Nah. We need to increase max BR to something like 16.0 and take a proper look at 13.0 and above because compression around there is insane.
I already said sorry for it mate, no need to ponder it any further. I understand my mistake. No harm was meant.
So, the Tomcats need to treat every IR missile like at least a primitive IRCCM one, which is a huge downside especially for the “A” variant which only gets a few CMs at the same BR.
If its a bug, okay, fair enough.
Otherwise this is a major nerf in my opinion, cluttering the TWS.
Honestly i feel like the 9.0-11.0 BRs are way worse in terms of compression, making a lot of aircraft pointless to play.
At the top tier range Gaijin is at least artificially buffing aircraft to keep them viable.
If we were actually to get a 16.0 BR tomorrow, it be like 5 planes, and I really dont see the fun in reducing the match variety even further than it already is.
i swear to god the same people go the same things over and over again 1-4 times a month about F14 in a new thread.
playing f14 against 13.7-14.0 might be a rough ride but so is playing 11.7-12.0 against f14’s.
0 sympathy towards f14’s after grinding sweden with j35xs against them.
They all suck, even the IRIAF.
No, we had Fakours at 12.7 and it was hell. When the Fakours moved, the ENTIRE spread from 11.7 to 12.7 meant we could now actually get off the ground. The Early should not be anywhere near 12.3, 11.3 planes should not be facing Fox-3 missiles no matter how bad they are. I agree to the F-14A getting Aim-9Ls. Honestly all planes at 12.0 + should be getting all aspect IR missiles at the minimum.
Identical IRCCM which matters more.
Also the FM is a sidegrade. Less speed better dogfight.
Radar for now doesn’t matter as much.
@YouRememberLove
Then don’t change the subject…
Su-27, F-15A/etc, F-2A are all OP 13.0s.
F-14B should remain 13.0 while those along with ~7 more OP 13.0s move up instead.
F-15A is slightly better than Su-27 in air RB and air sim.
Maybe Su-27 is better in air arcade, but that’s not the topic of this video.
Su-27 doesn’t have the scan rate for utilizing TWS effectively.
Turning down the afterburner is something you should do no matter the jet, I had 9Ls force themselves through flares on many afterburning jets when fired from directly behind, not just Tomcat
Yet 14A at 12.7 has one undeniable advantage over other 12.7 planes - it has ARHs. While Phoenixes do not have the most pull and discussion can be had about their state, they are still ARHs, and F-14A is capable of guiding multiple Phoenixes at once.
Unlike other planes at its BR, it can attack multiple targets at once from afar, thus limiting its exposure thus decreasing the need for CMs in the first place.
I mean its gaijin were talking about and I havent heard about any major changes to PD HDN radars nor did I notice such change myself.
If there was a nerf, people would know.
With more space to go up you can decompress 9.0-11.0 as well.
Yet you cant really have MiG-29G sitting at the same BR as Su-27/Su-33, or premium Su-30s at 13.3.
Hell MiG-29G shouldnt sit at the same BR as F-15A
