F-5C same BR as J-7D & Saab J35XS (10.7)?

Alvis has derailed the thread again.

Combat flaps reduce sustained turn rate for all but F-14B, and the reason this occurs is from engine thrust.
The more engine thrust, the more deflection you need. It’s why Mig-29, F-16, etc have automatic systems that do this for them.
F-5C doesn’t have the engines to use combat flaps for more than instantaneous.

@七-十三 Please don’t derail the topic.
This is about J-35XS, F-5C, and J-7D. Speak on-topic like all of us.

Again, try with combat flaps, bc i tested it for tournaments, it rates beter, and its not the only aircraft that rates better with flaps

in my opinion F5 has better gun because they are in the nose and not off center like the J35 and on the belly for the J7, better sustain turn rate than both the J7 and J35XS, more CM than the XS. Only downside being he has only 2 10G. You can compare it to like the ariete, the ariete has no missile or CM at his br but the fact that it is absolutly stupidly powerfull at dogfight make him one of the strongest jet of his br. F5C is good, like really good, you can win a dogfight against all you opponent and if they try to runaway just launch a 10g to make them turn and catch them.

What if they flare your useless 10g missile or dont turn hard to dodge it ( u can use your mouse not even using max pitch to dodge) ???

if you keep full afterburner without turning i can guaranty you that the missile will hit.

so i’ve played the thai F5 to test the FM and out of the 6 kill i’ve made in 2 game 4 are gun kill, 2 mig 21 in a dogfight, a F4 fleeing at 700 meter and another F4, so yeah FM pretty good, 20mm are actually busted, insane velocity + really good ammo capacity. and i was almost stock btw.

J-35XS: This really hates trim settings outside of high-speed. It also hates the HOTAS for no reason.

Of course, it’s possible to bring less fuel for both aircraft.
Spain especially will have people bring minimal fuel. Now this I haven’t tested until today because the last time I tested was in consideration of large maps where F-5C players bring 30 minutes to start, and J35 players bring ~16+ drop tanks to start.

Spoiler

The conclusion is the smaller the map the more of a threat F-5C is, the larger the map the less of a threat F-5C is.
And my previous conclusion prior to this one was based on large maps, not accounting for Afghanistan and Spain.
So use this post as my current conclusion.

Imagine someone doing that…if u dont cut off your burner and dont turn why shouldn’t a missile hit you exactly?

Im not saying it shouldn’t hit you… im saying that you need to cut off your after burner and turn to evade a missile meaning that you will be loosing speed and allow your opponent to catch on you…

F-5C rates better than J35XS and doesnt goes stall speed after half a turn

If only this was a russian plane, it would be 9,7.

disagree, just because it costs real money it doesnt deserve to be undertiered, sorry but thats the definition of p2w

They can work on other aspects of the plane, but letting it slam 9.7s for multiple months now in hopes of selling more is not the solution.

No?

The Mig-21SMT is worse at the same BR (10.7).

self inflicted issue

The F-5E is higher

Sire. I hope you read that post twice.

I claimed that all three jets (J-7D, F-5C, J35XS) shouldn’t be 10.7BR.

Then F-5C owners will complain about weaker engines and older missiles compared to F-5E.

So, F-5E also should be moved higher than currently.

If we keep moving everything higher, that is how decompressing BR works.
