F5c is fine at 10.7. Ive never flown a f5 and ive never struggle against one either. J7d definetly should go up. J35xs is the one i like the least here i hate 9js and i suck with cannons. So this thing would be hell for me
I think all the 11.0’s are in a really difficult spot. Experienced similar problems to a lot of the things 35XS users complained about whilst grinding Ra’am with Kfir Canard.
In downtiers, you can run riot.
In uptiers, it’s extremely difficult to do anything when you’re perpetually on the defensive from F4S/7F & 23ML/R24R spam.
Planes like 35XS / Kfir, categorically, have absolutely no business fighting 9.3 / 9.7’s. But they themselves have absolutely no business fighting 11.7/12.0’s. Compression is hell, and moving them down only passes that hell onto others.

Decompression is still needed, 12.7 and 13.0s have no business facing 13.3 and 13.7. 11.3 has been pretty fun for me on the f4e but top tier arb i find pretty miserable. Sim has been fun, but it is fairly unfair.
Never had J either. Find me proof that sais that the F-5Cs used Aim-9Js. A photo or something. Spoiler alert, there arent any.

It is quite a joke that F-5C shares the same BR with Su-17M2 and is just one step higher than F-4C or F-105D.

F-5C instantaneous’ worse, rates the same, climbs worse, and has worse armament.
It seems quite obvious that you do not have enough experience in both planes to undertand how much advantage the F-5 has than the J35XS
C´mon Alvis, the Draken is a delta wing, it bleeds so much speed way faster than the F-5C, and you end up so slow in a rate fight you don’t even do 15º/sec, while the F-5C can just hold the speed as much as the pilot wants to, sure it climbs worse, and has less missiles, but with the FM it doesnt needs them

Only if you pull as many Gs as possible and dump all of your speed. Which is what most bad pilots do. They have FAR better engines, speed , and climbrate.
still better for stuff to be overtiered, rather than undertiered, undertiered stuff ruins entire BR brackets, stuff being overtiered ruins a single plane

To be honest, I think the avionics should be considered when selecting the BR to a plane.
F-5C Is literally a engine with 2 guns and 2 AAM. The flight caracteristics are ok for the BR it has right now, my issue that there are planes in the BR that are Completly spaceship compared to the F-5C.
The same issue happens with Su-7BKM, which is pretty much a rocket with bombs under wings. It is not 9.3 in AirRB and Def not 9.7 in Sim (but SIM is a pecial case…) → Specially now that the TBC was removed
The tecnology of the plane should be more considerate when the Dev are magically picking a random number to put as BR in the plane.
At least in this case you kinda have to choose undertiered, simply because it is a $70 premium, and making it shit is kinda a dick move.
Ideally they just fix the FM, add RB27/28, and toss on the CM pods to make it actually good, but until that happens I am fine with it being slightly undertiered given how bad the FM is.
Pretending like the F-5C struggles when it’s literally in the running to also be the best 10.7… joke thread.

That’s what the big engine is for, to keep the sustained turn rate of J35XS at 14 degrees per second.
Vs the 14 degrees per second of F-5C.
You are not forced to pull your hardest, please go watch Defyn videos on how to moderate how much you pull. The only people losing to F-5Cs in a J35XS are bad pilots.

Fanboying over the F-5C won’t change reality. If it was that good Sweden wouldn’t have made the Draken to begin with.
A single off centre 30mm is worse than the F5s two nose mounted 20mms. Sure it hits harder, but it’s also much harder to aim, and it has worse ballistics.
I just can’t believe that the F5 has a worse airframe than the J35.

From Gaijn’s standpoint, no. The XS is expensive as shit, and if its bad/downright useless no one will buy it. I agree with you on a purely balance perspective, but from any financial perspective I simply cant.
Hell, WT premiums are the cost of a AAA game nowadays, and if they arent good people wont buy them.

Just cause F-5C has bad AOA [compresses] at high speeds doesn’t make its flight model good.
It’s still 2 really weak engines, and the primary reason I didn’t do my standard HOTAS tests yet is cause I need to get star 1 done of the event.
Virtual flight stick showed a 0.2 degree per second difference in J-35s favor.
Also one has 4 or 6 AIM-9Js the other 2 AIM-9Es.
Try with combat flaps
