Aircraft without R-77, AIM-120 and etc. are currently dead in the 12.0-13.0 brackets.
Not really. Just requires playing on maps that allow you to be a rat
I tried yesterday while opening the new missiles and it was a pain. Vietnam map. Guerrilla tactics. I played like a snake in tall grass, but it didn’t help much.
Afghanistan worked pretty well for me, until I got the ARHs unlocked. More cover in the mountains than Vietnam

Not only GJ didn’t make 11.0-12.0 bracket, but they extended 12.0-13.0 to 11.7-13.0, because Tornado F3 with its Skyflash is overpowered. I mean, this is hilarious. 13.0 “aces” need moar meat! :D

Yes, that’s my favourite map too for top tier air2air business. I not good enough to stand my ground against more experienced missile-slingers without being sneaky and use the terrain.
Vietnam is ok-ish too…

Vietnam and Afghanistan are OK.
But what do we do with the other maps?
We exclude Harriers, but there are plenty of planes with 12.0-12.3 and even 12.7 BRs, but without the new missiles, which, with the current brackets, are too helpless.
This is Sim. You don’t have to play maps that don’t work for your aircraft.

No, I think the important aspect is: Contrary to all other game modes, in Air Sim EC you have complete control over what BR you play and what maps.
Play the vehicles you like at the BR-rotations and on the map that suit you and your desired aircraft best!
Again, to be able to chose is a luxury you don’t have anywhere else, so no reason to panic… = )

Things are not so optimistic. Second patch brackets not well made. This looks like a trend. Currently BR 12.0 and 12.3 are useless (with some exceptions). Should we leave them in the lurch just because we have the luxury of choosing other planes and other maps (pretty limited, btw)? Our choices are getting shorter. We should not wait, but insist that the principle embodied in the dynamic brackets be followed.
It’s hard when GJ permanently tries to shoehorn you into something you don’t want to.
I’m done with GER TT, but I’d still like to spade Mig29 at 12.0, so what am I supposed to do?

Gaijin should definitely have re-made the brackets with introduction of 13.0, They got lazy. But the BR rotation is a huge part of what makes sim great, it’s not like RB where you just press “play” and it’s complete RNG whether you get up tiered or not, with some BR’s experiencing MUCH more up-tiers than others… Now imagine having to play through this RNG up-tier for a 1.5-3 hour game.

No, they never adjust those brackets right when the roof gets raised, iirc.

No. Was BR change about 3 weeks after. I remember trying to play the F3 Vs Su27s for a few weeks
Let’s just hope the next BR changes aren’t in a few months and are actually soon

How are chances for a 13.0 only bracket?
Fox1 vs fox3 is really annoying at the moment. You have to keep the enemy locked all the time while he can just go cold or notch.
Even if your R27ER hits first, you are dead 5 sec. later.
Seems 12.7 planes have to fly extra low these days

I don’t think they’ve ever done single BR brackets before. The best we can hope for are 11.0 to 12.0 and 11.3 to 12.3 brackets and 12.7 are going to have to wait till we have 13.3s or maybe even 13.7s
