Good, so you agree with my argument, no RoC Mirage 2000, no M1A2T and such.
I love how the playerbase always falls for Gaijin’s theatrics. Every single time the pressure gets too high they throw some self made controversy so that players get distracted.
Keep arguing about the flag. Much more important the entire game falling apart.
legally roc(aka taiwan) is a autonomous province of china. this is reflected in game so i dont see the problem tbh
If its a province of china in game, why does it has its own flag on their vehicles?
Guys I would like to remind you are not to make this political, any comments that breach this rule will be removed !
3.1.6 political and religious agitation and propaganda, including propagation of conflicts; discussion of actual political and religious issues is also prohibited due to the provocative nature: we urge you not to draw comparisons between war-historical themes and any of the political events;
If you dont care about the result of this discussion, why are you here then?
did i say i dont care? i do care btw. the roc flag should stay on vehicles only and never be added as a research nations flag
okay but ROC is a country that we have vehicles from in the game? why shouldnt it be added as a customization option
I am just a Forum Mod so I have no knowledge on anything if there is any news it will be via a CM
It annoys me that Gaijin isn’t staying neutral in politics. In my opinion, removing the ROC flag is unacceptable and shows that Gaijin is willing to bend the rules for a few loud voices
i bet money is involved
2- HARD NO.
I demand my 3 Canadas.
the lazy Canada
the smart Canada
the stupid Canada
This would be less needed if Gaijin added simple color coding. If it was clear which was the main Finland for example I don’t think I’d mind having the option to select three of them.
If I don’t want to be confused, maybe I just don’t select them, but the option doesn’t do any harm so long as it’s clear where it’s placed and where there’s only one-off vehicles.
Maybe someone who really loves Poland might appreciate three Polish tech trees, I wouldn’t want to limit that. (Hopefully even add a fourth with an independent Polish tree)
It doesn’t matter because what we pick for our client will never show up to other players.
Edit:
Like this: I will only see.
The only way other players will see Columbia is if I bring Kfir C10 into a match and they have this setting checked:
The only way they see Bangladesh is if I have VT-5 in my lineup and they have “Use operator flags” checked.
Yep, can’t confuse anyone but ourselves.
What I meant with color coding though, is that currently there is no indication for subtree placement in game, it’s all either news or forum statements. In game the only way to tell is to look where certain nations vehicles are placed which is very unreliable and misleading.
But I’m all for keeping the options, they just need to communicate what nation goes where permanently, and what is just a one-off.
If you have the time and maybe some more opinions on it, you could look over my attempt at improving the nation selection for the Subtree Rework suggestion in a planned update.
I’m looking for more opinions right now to make sure that any changes to the suggestion are the best they can be and nothing major is forcibly added / changed without warning.
solid idea but for me not the most urgent stuff they need to redo. isnt the idea a bit flawed when it comes to the grind since some nations do lack many tanks/planes to have a somewhat grindable techtree
Probably not, but it’s the part that I like to care for. I’m not trying to imply it’s the most important or urgent issue.
I’d rather get some more player opinions and discussions to make sure the idea is something I’d consider ready to implement. It’s not something I can do entirely alone.
That is exactly the point. Some nations simply don’t have entirely grindable techtrees, however could be introduced if they could share lineups with other nations. That’s what subtrees are.
This suggestion is an improvement to those subtrees. Instead of grouping nations together in one research tree, subtrees are now set up as their own research tree, but grouped with another. So instead of for example a British tree with some Indian vehicles in select holes and many locked as premiums, there is now space for a British and Indian research trees that can be expanded on as equals.
They can still share lineups in much the same way they do now, but they get more space, and more autonomy that allows players to more individually decide what they do or don’t want to play. Think of it as “subtrees+”, where all the benefits of subtrees are kept, but the benefits of independent nations are also added.
Though if you want proper detail, you can go back to look at the details in the actual suggestion where it’s written a lot better.
