Gaijin was smart about it, also. You only see the flags that you set for a nation. You’re not imposing your flag on others. Others don’t see what flag you’ve set for a nation ingame. Pretty smart, imo.

Chinese TT is mainly PRC, hence why many see ROC/Taiwan as a subtree. United Korea would literally be two equally sized nations. Kind of a harder TT to balance than CHN w/ one flag
I don’t know what you guys are discussing, but I just want to say - If we can have a Columbia flag for Israel because of a single event vehicle, we can have a ROC one for vehicles that make up a substantial part of the Chinese tree (especially air).
I don’t know the exact ratio but IMO it shouldn’t make a difference. ROC is not a subtree, it is also China. It makes up basically all the lower tier vehicles and a fair amount of mid/high rank ones as well. ROC absolutely deserves a flag.

I’m just hinting at why the actual flag function could’ve been added. Mostly to do with controversies surrounding Tech Trees (Japan w/ Thai VT-4, United Korean, Israeli tree, etc.)
Yeah, I’m not saying it doesn’t. I’m saying that the reason why the function itself was added is likely because of things like Thai VT-4 in Japan (“Chinese-made vehicle in Japan tree”) and United Korean tree. ROC definitely deserves its flag!
You’re right. Now they can add VT-4 to Japan and any Chinese nationalist can simply change the nation flag.

I honestly don’t understand why the flag of ROC cannot be there. Did any of the vehicles from China carry the PRC flag before 1949? If you developers aren’t able to figure this out, maybe the whole mechanism shouldn’t be introduced in the first place
Tbh it was a mistake to introduce those vehicles in the first place, the Chinese situation is just as sensitive as the stuff going on in Ukraine for some people, and no matter how the devs do it one side is gonna be left unhappy.
These matters are way too messed up and all they do is make more people argue and make political statements. So the best solution would be to not include these stuff until it’s no longer controversial. However since Gaijin already did, they gotta suffer the wrath of China haters, history lovers and Chinese patriots.
Adding Taiwanese vehicles post-Patton is also not good for the game.
People play America to play American vehicles. People play China to play Chinese vehicles.
People dont play China to play American vehicles.

What are you talking about? the T72 in the Italian Swedish and German TT are all great, not to mention Great Britain has a T90s and Sweden has a T80U and a T55. I actually enjoy this quite a lot, being able to get two experiences in one go is just so much easier than totally grinding out two TTs seperately.
Its literally just 1 outdated Soviet vehicle per. Its not the entire half of the tech tree with the most modern and capable platforms of the other side of the Iron Curtain.
The US doesnt have a Chinese sub-tree.
Russia doesnt have a German sub-tree.
Why is China so special?

Uh, no, the stuff they got in the American TT isn’t really modern or capable. For example the M60 TTS lacks ERA compared to the original one, and they don’t really have anything that is generally better than same BR Chinese counterparts. You would be right if they’ve issued the Chinese TT the M1A2T or some other super high grade stuff but they didn’t
Also questionable, CM11 and M41D are somewhat domestic modifications.
Hard no, only 9 out of around 45 relatively modern (rank IV and above) ground vehicles are somewhat related to US exports. For planes it’s around 1/3 but it’s still nowhere near “entire half”
So, basically China is special (not really) because they got it. the US is not getting a Chinese subtree because they didn’t buy Chinese stuff (maybe that Cougar MBT thing would work but that’s not in game yet). The Russians is not getting a German subtree because they didn’t buy German stuff (maybe well see some captured leo 2s like that captured panther)
I’d say it’s just great. Sweden is the same deal with Finnish ground vehicles and Italy is the same deal with Hungarian Aircraft. So in conclusion here’s nothing special about the Chinese TT. Hmm, I wonder why you’d single the Chinese TT out.

No confirmed date or detailed plan, I suspect that’s just some stuff Gaijin made up to shut the Chinese up.
You should’ve worded it more carefully before, plus, go count the Russian stuff from the Finnish sub tree in Sweden or Russian stuff from Hungarian sub tree in Italy

Anyways, I’m not gonna go on and blabber a whole lot about this and that just so I get banned and my stuff removed. I think the Chinese TT is fine as it is, its mix of western and eastern tech is what makes it an enjoyable TT. Sure, the flag thing right now is a bit of a hot potato but it doesn’t really affect the TT in game.
