The problem is unless those weapons are restricted purely to air battles, they will be carried into and employed in GRB, even if someone asking for them is careless of ground/naval.
Then perhaps they should add exactly that. Or give them a really really high SP cost.
Tornado Gr4 with Brimstones would be amazing fun in Sim and really needed to deal with the convoys. But too OP in GRB so probably wont be added for ages or in such a nerfed state they are barely recognisable.

Thing is we need more diverse missions for ARB or Sim like SEAD or maybe to strike some high valve target where the JDAM’s might acutally be usefull. Thing is when you have the odonance available you just need a mission for them.

Not surprised you’re talking about F-15C it air superiority fighter it ground attack capability will not gonna be on par with F-16C or F-15E(it gonna be monster of CAS if it ever come)
Understandable. BUT the JDAM should work like irl. The F-15C was just an example. An F-15C dropping JDAM’s would be as effective as an F-16C dropping JDAM’s irl
Thats what we had and it was nerfed as Gaijin deemed whipping out fighter with air to air loadout way too effective CAS counter for the price, bringing CAP and CAS loadouts equal or similar in price. Then you can equip both and do both tasks for the same ±800sp pricetag.
Alternatively add rule that aircraft can’t be higher BR than ground vehicle. That would add more separation between fighters and strike aircraft, as currently you have no reason to whip out A-10C in GRB when F-16C exists.
That would require more BR’s and gaijoob does not like that
My idea was to fit into current BRs, as lets be real, BR compression is feature, not an issue.
It does throttle aviation you could bring to GRB/GSB, while allowing most stupid or otherwise imbalanced ordnance to be used in ARB/ASB against PvE targets (ARB EC when)

How exactly is cas bad? This morning i had a match where 3 shining stars bombed the gaijin out of me. You know what their achievements were before they killed me?
It was the achievement of getting killed by me. Their sin was that they were standing dumb founded before the might of my barrel.
And how does gaijin reward those pests? By handing them the liberty of a plane packed with bombs.
How exactly, i ask you, is cas having it bad? Cas is like a girlfriend mode for a game. It cant even be called easy mode. All they have to do is die, and gaijin hands them a platter with a free pass, to kill whoever they couldnt with a ground based vehicle, in a ground based mode.
Cas isnt skill based. There is even a whole ass class in this game that unlocks planes faster by sitting behind a hill and pressing the scout bind for the first 2 minutes of the game. Then they rush you, die as expected,.and they are allowed a plane with 4 100kg bombs, which they eagerly kamikaze crash into you.b
Not bad in “Wow, CAS is performing bad.” Its bad in the case of “Damn, too much CAS and being overpowered.”
There is only too much cas when the spaa’s are failing you. Usa doesnt even have a proper spaa between 4.0 and 7.3. a .50 cal is only so effective. Cant really use m42’s for spaa when jets start being involved.
Yes. Cas might be a problem at lower tiers
The problem isn’t CAS at lower levels. It’s the way WT applies/builds and implemented SPAA.
They’re using tank ground combat reticles instead of the Gyro/Reflector/lead computing gunsights they should have. Which commonly leads to the issue of having to shoot from the 3rd person view because the lead required with a non compensating gunsight is often completely out of view.
Rangefinding/spotting of aircraft is entirely broken for SPAAs without radar fire directors/fire control
8.3-9.0 or maybe 9.3 is about the only area where SPAA truly works well/ almost like it should. (Outside of the obvious issues with radar like letting it lock into targets on the ground or flying under tree top level.)
And missiles are also badly implemented because the majority are SACLOS and that system as many inherent issues
