What balance.
A Corsair, hellcat or Yak-9K never heard of this word.
Maybe now they will hear.
(does APHE yak9k/UT belt qualify? God I hope. Maybe GRB will be playable again and I won’t be at mercy of GSB to play with my tanks)

I find that to be too niche of a case to effect what is in general a fair compromise.
Besides if the dedicated AA belts aren’t the best for AA then why even have them?
Because aircraft have terrible damage models that mitigate the effectiveness of things like HE rounds that should be very effective
Sounds like the solution should be to fix those damage models instead of turning SPAAs into cheap tank shredders.
Overall making anti-tank belts cost more is extremely sensible and will hopefully reduce the rate of first spawn SPAAs
Seriously? This is gonna wreck the balance between air and ground units.
Yep, like I said. Its tricky and needs to be done right.
But Gaijin has a habbit of either
A) doing part of something quickly and then leaving it unfinished for a year+
or
B) Doing it badly
Oh I know, case in point:
Why do tanks with hand crank turrets suffer a reduction in traverse speed when the battery is dead?
This is not a good change. For more players, the current mechanism can provide a better gaming experience. Players spend time on air force research to enhance their experience in ground battles. However, this change will dampen players’ enthusiasm for air-to-ground strikes, making the matches rigid and less likely to see turning points, which is detrimental to the development of the game.
Going to preface this by saying. I like CAS, I think CAS is a good thing, half the time Im in CAS
It will change next to nothing and actually is a net buff as it makes it much easier to bring both CAS and CAP into the same match meaning there is an even greater incentive to grind the air tree than before.
Sure, soviets cant nuke everything with double KH-38MT spam anymore, but thats one of a few exceptions where this will nerf CAS, it wont nerf CAS accross the board. In fact it will buff CAS for some nations like Sweden
The ground vehicles are inherently unbalanced, and weakening CAS will not enhance the player experience. Instead, it will encourage passive behaviors such as both sides remaining motionless at attack points. Furthermore, it is unfair to experienced players who have invested money and time, as they will not receive positive feedback
Air sim and air arcade exists.
Use your planes in dedicated air modes.
I use my planes in dedicated air modes (ASB) and have plenty of fun. Stop deriving fun from shooting fish in a barrel.
Maybe you should learn how not to be an easy target instead of getting mad when a plane kills you.
What are you supposed to do against a corsair with 500 kg+ bombs, against a yak-9k/ut, against hellcats?
Nothing.
You have 3 km/h reverse speed.
Your forward acceleration is non-existent as well.
If a Yak or corsair or hellcat decides you’re dead, you’re dead.
How not to be an easy target:
First and foremost this entails being aware of enemy air spawns so you can prepare and position yourself accordingly. Avoid grouping up with allies, avoid camping in one spot for extended periods of time, avoid wide open spaces, and utilize smoke effectively. A stationary target is an easy target, and a group is desirable target. Be neither.
You’re 3 minutes into the match and driving towards your overlook or strong point where your tank contributes to your team’s effort.
Also “stationary target”
Ah yes, let’s shoot from the milk truck with a giant gun attached to its rear on the move!
Or from a big fat heavy tank.
It is totally different between 4.0 - 11.7
overlook
strong point
these sound like stationary camping and grouped up positions respectively
Obviously both are prime targets for CAS. Maybe try a less obvious strategy.
big fat heavy tank
do you know why they stopped making heavy tanks historically? because they kept getting bombed
Tell me, what do you expect this thing to do?
These are mobile/self-propelled field artillery pieces that might as well be towed vehicles.
They are supposed to do exactly that: Taking advantageous position and providing support fire.
Which, lo and behold -
They do in ground simulator battles where propeller planes actually require a semblence of skill to use as CAS platforms!
It’s glorious. “Tanks” are actually used as they are meant to be used rather than whatever weird insanity GRB has devolved into.
Whereas in GRB they just get clicked on from the air and die.
Not really.
Im personally looking forward to this change at 10.3 because Britians ONLY CAP aircraft was classed errenously as a strike aircraft and now I would be able to spawn in a CAP after spawining in CAS
At 9.0, It will change nothing for me, as I would use the Hunter F1 and Buc S1 as my CAS and CAP.
Going lower like say 3.0. I can now bring a Typhoon Mk Ia with bombs and then respawn in a Spitfire MkIIA or Sea Hurricane. All of which are classed as fighters. Before I would have only be able to bring one
This pattern repeats at 4.3, 5.7 and 6.0 with later Typhoon and Tempest variants.
etc etc etc.
There are far fewer examples where this will be a negative to aircraft as a hole, bar a few exceptions which were generally in need of a nerf anyway
Not exactly, with the new mechanism, now Rafale can spawn twice to supreme their air advantage, this is sth need to be fixed.
