Change the br of the AV-8B (NA) to 10.7 for god's sake

I don’t see why this harrier can’t be the same br of the AV-8S Late. Doesn’t it come with 4 AIM-9ls too?

We all know that gaijin doesn’t “like” the british, plus harrier T.10 isn’t available for sale is it?

The AV-8B(NA) is a Harrier II. Much larger wing and more powerful engine. Its quite a major upgrade over the Harrier Is (AV-8S and Sea Harriers, etc), better acceleration, better turn performance, even better engine temp management and has 3x CMs than the Sea Harrier (though less than the AV-8S)

The difference is like comparing the Spitfire Mk9 with the Spitfire Mk24. Major upgrade in most respects.

Guys F-5C is 10.7 and will win a dogfight against me. I’m not mentioning F-5E.

BECAUSE AV-8S is based on ‘Good-ole’ Harrier 1 airframe, which has a shorter, smaller wing.
Turns sluggishly.

Quite similar to SHAR FRS.1 in 11.0.

Yes.

Because it is quite a scam, and not many guys bought it.
I pre-ordered it, but I think it was the same price as AV-8B(NA) but inferior.

Typical F-4J(UK) vs F-4J/S(USN) case.

I was happy to see her in-game, but nothing more than that.

Thats just the F-5s overperforming. The Sustained turn rates on the F-5 and Harriers should be swapped.

Its all about mastering the VIFF (vector in forward flight) and forcing the fight to go your way.

You could give this a try vs F-5s too

I understand, but I’d rather have 2 aim-9ls and play at 11.0. Because I don’t see this flight performance against, many planes. I can easily lose agasint an F-16 block 10…

I don’t know why gaijin removes the cool planes…

Other planes go up to decompress, not 9l launchers to go down

How about absolutely not

Isn’t it just all harriers that suffer? Except the AV-8C, this one is broken against 8.7-9.0 planes

Id say its the AV-8A and AV-8S which are the healthiest at the moment with 240 CMs at 9.7. But yeah, few are in perticularly healthy states currently. Some are okay, like the GR3/AV-8C but some like the FA2 are pretty poor at the moment.

I’m having serious issues against the AV-8C’s AIM-9Gs, without countermeasures they seem undodgable

yeah because 9Ls are such common missiles at 11.3 lmao.

Because they mostly are, I dont think you can kinematically defeat Aim-9Gs, at least not if theyve been fired at you smart. You can try the rocket pod trick. If your aircraft has them, run some rockets, usually good enough to defeat a missile as the missile retargets the rocket motor. Works quite well on the Hunters and Harrier GR1

True, but on the Super Mystere that means giving up the missiles and they really are needed, if anything to prevent opponents from accelerating away

Ah yeah, not always an option unfortunately

10.7 is too low, if the av8b na and the harrier t10 have to go down 11.0 is as low as they can go. and even so they would be the same br as the sea harrier and the av8s late

I feel like the main issue is that this whole br area is so horribly compressed

It is, forget about 7.0-10.0 which is also a complete. 9.7 is just horrific.

The biggest buff the AV-8B(NA) and most of the Harriers could get right now is a decompression.
