Awesome on the rounds performance, so the only reason they don’t make it better is because they intend for bias.
It get’s old playing with machines that don’t work correctly. Even the TES and OES NERA side armour behaves like ERA that doesn’t work instead of NERA. Why can’t we have anything fun?
That’ll be a PTO for driving thing’s like a dozer blade or mine plow/flail, if not then hydraulic ports.
I wish they gave a drop down tab for multiple weapon choices for the RWS so they would never have to address this module again in later additions, M240, 40mm AGL, M2 .50cal, M134, Javelin, M230 long barrel (Apache 30mm) IIRC.
Same with armour modules a drop down tab with varying degrees of protection/weight savings.
Shameless plug to a suggestion i made some time back.
Something like that would help to fix a lot of problems, specially for challenger 2. It would allow us to choose which armour package we want on the vehicle, or weapon system on the RWS. we could add or remove weight based on how we play or what maps we play. Add or remove camo nets. Cages. ERA. Dozer blades. I feel like a tank modularity system needs to be added at some point; even if they just recycle the UI used for selecting armaments for CAS aircraft.
I got the 3 Chally 2s from 11.7 (2, 2F and 2 OES) and it seems very sht also grind painful, as its “top” round is in LV4 mods, the LzRF is also at LV4 Modifications and only you got is 9.0 Chieftain Mk.10 Round at 11.7 until you painfully got the Lv4 mods, its frontal armor seems weaker in pratice than BMPT Sides, damm i love challys but its soooooo bad rn
The main issue is just the mantlet, which should be at least around ~500mm KE thick and we have proof, yet gaijin insist on nerfing it. They accepted a report to buff it, after the rework, and then have just done nothing
It completely destroys the hull down playstyle the tank should have. The Challenger 3 TD is even worse ingame, I cant imagine they’ll make the Challenger 3 prototypes any better when they arrive as well.
You get L26 on the CR2s which on them is actually pretty okay to grind with.

Yeah that’s my main issue with the tank, it’s somewhat understandable for the TD’s mantlet to be weak as it’s only a tech demonstrator.
However, when the real Challenger 3 comes the mantlet should actually have some armour.

From the outside at least the mantlet of the CR3 seems to be quite sturdy.
Looks like a damnable slab of composites
And will be added as 300mm max protection

Im equally as worried about the EPSOM modular armour, I imagine they’ll make it completely useless

It matters even more as the LFP addon has EPSOM integrated into it
I wonder if it would offer Relikt levels of protection if modelled somewhat ok
