agreed. Id love to be able to run my CR2 without the tea table and underperforming NERA blocks or have the TES kit on scimitar
Amazing idea! Needs a lot of work as other things but Gaijin needs to start thinking about it
you can if you are not damaged, if you j out (as long as you are not the last on your team) you can respawn and choose a different arnament or camo
would be good for helicopters too especially the hueys and the ah-1g’s
This suggestion in this format is dumb. It should be Spoiler: and the poll after it. But I will make 300 fake accounts and vote for this on every one of the, so +30000000000
yeah, I’m not the best at formatting ^^" however I wanted to make sure everything was clarified and readable. Thanks for voting!
I was just pulling your leg ^^’ but I know I didn’t need to read anything and only looked at the title and pictures but knew that everything I wanted was here. Been thinking of another suggestion for a few months now and my idea is a hugely customizable vehicle. Like with the CR2s, there is a exhaust extension. My idea would work well with yours but I don’t have the time, will power to stop procrastinating or idea how to pull it off correctly. Might ask @CHARM_3 to help me with it.
+1
Erm yes, kind of!
Think it should be ERA on and off. Not fully customisable, should be the same standard as IRL.
that could definitely be an option! I’m sure Gaijin could make a preset with the back plates on, and ERA off for example. Something more complex like this opens up the opportunity to make multiple armour configs for one vehicle however, and also means that there can be less modification tree bloating and tech tree bloating with the same vehicle just with a different armour config.
- One vehicle.
- Multiple armour configurations.
- Each vehicle that has more years, example T-72 (1990), T-72 (2000), T-72 (2010), T-72 (2020) has more advanced configurations, including those it could fit from previous years if desired.
- The BR of the Vehicle is always based on the armour package with the best protection. Removing the armour package or changing it, does not effect BR, which means that choosing a weaker package would only negatively effect the player using it, but it may benefit them personally. IE, making them faster, or better protected against specific munitions, but their BR stays the same.
A good example would be leopard RPG cages. The player could choose to use them, but it would add weight and slow them down, for the benefit that it protects them against HEAT munitions a little better.
With this system you could even have the ability to add combat dozer blades to other vehicles, including the Sherman tanks in the game already! Or even the combat mine plows and flails that some tanks had access to!
It just add’s the ability to add more diversity to the pre existing vehicles in the game without bloating them full of modifications in the modification tree.
I mean, I play Britain, if I play the TES or 2F it would be nice to equip the ERA for only the front plate or the hull skirts and lower front plate so I can remove the turret side ERA.
that would be a cool preset! they could do custom loadouts like they do for Aircraft munitions. You could edit a custom armour package, and then choose what you want on your sides and what you want on your front, with selection boxes just like the aircraft loadout system, then you can select it from this dropdown, for example “custom armour package 1”! that would be neat!
Yeah! Especially on a tank that need to save weight cause it’s already heavy.
this needs to be added to the game
I would l like to see the ability to disable stronger armor configurations before battle if it means allowing the player to use the vehicle at a lower BR. This would expand options for line-ups rather than harming them. It would also pave the way for variable vehicle BR, which could be expanded to take into account other modifications like ammunition, and could make stock vehicles less painful.
I’d also like to bring up the possibility of some armor configurations increasing spawn point costs, a bit like bomb load-outs, but to a much less severe degree of course. Imo, it gets a bit dull when every player is always using the add-on armor modification if there’s one available because the upsides overshadow the downsides 90% of the time. Introducing a spawn point penalty, even just a small one, would make add-on armor less of a no-brainer. I’m not as dead set on this point, but it’s just something I think could be worth considering.
+1 very cool idea
Thanks! really hope people enjoy it!
Great suggestion, the more modular the vehicles are the better, and the better the game would be.
Edit added to include a visualised Armour Layout Editor. This looks at what this could look like. A great addition to this suggestion!
