Lol, the P-40 is definitely an OP meta plane.
P-51H and C are just on-par with Russian/British planes at their BR.
If it was truly an issue of skill, then Russia and Germany would both appear to have bad planes as well.

You’ve got it exactly the opposite
If your main strength is A then you’d actually want to face an opponent who’s main strength is B, since then you can exploit a capability they can’t do nearly as well.
Not all capabilities are equal though. IMO the ability to out-climb/outrun an opponent is vastly more advantageous than simply turning well, since it allows you to dictate the terms of the engagement. If you don’t like the situation then you could just leave, continue building up your energy state, then re-engage.
Sips extra strong British Tea in the spitfire whilst whistling innocently
Not really relevant to the buffalo, as that tactic was not invented when that plane was designed if I remember right
It’s definitely still relevant. Tactics don’t care about planes, the buffalo’s best tactic is still bnz
what about it
F4U-4B, P-47 (not the N), P-38 to name a few
P-47 is decent, but lacks to climbrate needed to compete with Yaks, Spitfires, Bf 109s, and Fw 190s.
P-38 just isn’t good if you enemy has more than a few braincells.
I will give you that, the F4U-4B is one of the best American props in the game (probably the best) but it’s, at best, on-par with Yaks and Spitfires.
Buffalo turns go round the outside, round the outside, round the outside…
Someone had to say it :)
Why
Its top speed, turn rate, climb rate, and especially role rate are all bad-subpar. It also has pretty bad high speed compression and can’t take any damage without being crumpled or crippled.
The only really upsides are firepower (only really matters against bombers) and air spawn, which is extremely easy for enemies to counter.
The only one that’s good imo is the P-38E, but as far as the rest go, there no reason to ever use em over a Corsair, P-47, or P-51D-30. They aren’t even good in GRB.
Early American planes were infamously bad.
What the hell, have you seen the P-38G?
No, absolutely not
lol no. Stop reading Osprey Books publications :D
Naaahh…
Not every early US prop is bad…
Even if we exclude the iconic P-51C.
P-400, P-39 or F2A-1 was decent.
And there might be other good planes.
American planes are damn good in turning in general cuz I’m luftwaffe main
Britain exists
