Yep
Shows as a cross with the target in the middle.
Sadly yeah
I still wonder how they think pilots are supposed to use CCRP in those aircraft equipped with such systems but lacking any symbolism in WT’s 3D cockpit…
So actually no, Shar stays in the hangar. = (
You ever see people using dowsing rods to find water underground? I reckon they think it’s like that but when the rods point to the target and when they cross is when you drop the bombs.
Is it possible for collimators and gunsights in planes to get clamped when being imported by game as part of custom skin? Currently they tile on import when changing their texture as part of skin. Whatever you use in your tools makes them display correctly.
My very first bug report was on exactly that: Community Bug Reporting System
…wait, there is a workaround?!?
I mean he is developer from tag, so whatever tool they have can make them clamp, i tried those options in blk but nothing changes whatever you put in
have you guys looked in to the MiG-29Ks HMS since it appears to have a set it never carried or was planned to use
This post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden.
what does that have to do with HUDs or HMDs?
I was just messing around in test drive and noticed they fixed the RWR indicator for JHMCS
oops I did not mean to reply to you there mb
Yes if it’s not an entirely ‘digital’ HUD like the AV-8s/F4s/MiG-23s/Tornados etc.
When you use a custom skin you can change the two collimator strings in the .blk file to any of the in-game reticles or pippers like so:
name:t="user"
replace_tex{
from:t="_empty_collimator*"
to:t="csf_97k_fixed_collimator*"
}
replace_tex{
from:t="asp_5n_collimator*"
to:t="410sum_fixed_collimator*"
}
Why two strings? for a fixed and a moving part?
However, as far as I see this doesn’t solve the issue that any colimator changed/exchanged via custom skin will be tiled, see Community Bug Reporting System:

I believe this still works to get around the repeating issue.
TLDR: open the sight file in an image editor like Paint.net and crop the empty space in the file to just to the borders of the sight itself.
Thanks! I will try that out! = )
HMD’s on the F-15E, F-16CM PoBIT, MiG-29KR, and Tornado GR.4 are invisible when not spooling up an IR missile, using HMD radar slaving, or having a target already locked with radar.
Correct. The first string is for the fixed reticle, while the second deals with the floating one.
Also using the game-file collimators AND setting that asterisk at the end of their name in the quotes removes the collimator image tiling effect, because now the game is directly sourcing the file from it’s own source and (for some reason I don’t understand) only places one from what I’ve seen.
all they have do now is show radar locks without having to spool up a missile🙏
F-8E missing EEGS // Gaijin.net // Issues
In last patch EEGS was removed from F-8E for some reason, one of manuals cited for source for removal has entire weaponary section dedicated to what gaijin considers EEGS.
Edit: It has been already marked as duplicate even tho it is not even same issue. He directs to EEGS not being able to correctly calculate lead

Meanwhile issue is removal of system in last update. While manual states that system exists.
