It is sad you cannot comprehend the issue with your previous statement. Your opinion is just your opinion in this particular matter and in no means part of thd game for players.
It is not a killstreak mechanism, other thsn for those that think in this niche way.

Sorry but I have hard time understanding what do You really mean.
I will be waiting for You to tell why You think air is not a killstreak mechanism alike.
But they did already change it quite a bit, bomb fuses got a rather long timer, which made suicide bombing not viable, and more recently fighters don’t get ground markers anymore, which makes them pretty much only useful as bomber interceptors or bomber protection.
It explains how I do not see it as a killstreak mechanism by dint of how I see the game to be played, just how you might see it as one due to the way you see the game to be played; neither of which are incorrect as there is no definition set by the game as to match structure, it is just how you see it and approach it. I can understand more than my own take on the game and accept other players opinions, what you stated is more opinion than a fact of the game.
Just in case you are not familiar with ABGF:
(as you slipped to RB when you mentioned requiring SP; I get what you meant though AB works quite differently with more of a defined structure set by the game, RB being more “do what you want with what we give you all”).
There is no SP in AB. The mode produces “waves” in which previous actions give all the opportunity (depending on how quickly you can click the button since limited spots) to be an active part in the air wave (similar to how implemented in Ground PvE).
The spawn is also oddly balanced in terms of air v air and how easy it might be for the attacking side (each wave has one with interceptors and the other ground attack with escort) to get to attack ground units. I always felt you either had no chance as the interceptors are too close (even for escorts to react to, if they bother) or next time the interceptors have no chance to get near before you have engaged the enemy ground forces (usually one run since waves are time limited and your ground vehicle is afk still). But that is a topic by itself, it is rather random.
The issue with bombs is if you drop them at high altitude there’s no whistling sound until the bombs are about to hit. You get no warning to move and if you drop a bunch of 1000-2000lb bombs into one spot you can get 4+ kills easily.
On the flipside bombers are way too fragile. I’ve literally been instantly killed by pilot kills in the first burst or the plane dies in <3 from a single fighter.
My opinion is that CAS should stay. It’s fun to shoot fighter planes as spaa. But but but. Remove bombers. In last game top enemy player got 11 kills. 3 tank kills and then 5 kills with Pe-8 and three another kills with some kind of Dornier. So get rid of bombers should solve part of the problem. Another thing is suicide/kamikaze players. In RB planes cost spawn points so players are trying to stay alive and destroy as much they can before other plane or spaa shot them, or they crashed. RB player needs to stop air raid at a certain height so they don’t crash. Suicide player in AB can diving and shooting much longer because they don’t plan to survive it. It doesn’t cost anything. It does not penalize them in any way. Example Stuka need to exit dive about 400-500m from ground to not crash. Suicide Stuka can fire whole way until it crashes into tank. It’s about 3,6 seconds longer. Here are more ways to improve this. Penalize suicide players, Make suicide kills way less awarded or let’s turn it around. He crashed because he wanted to kill me. So give me also credits for kill because he was killed because of me one way or another.

In fact, why change anything at all?
Why eradicate smallpox? It was with us for 1000s of years, so why change it?
For most of human history, the life expectancy was 25-30 years, so why change it?
200 years ago, you had an almost 50% chance of dying before you turn 5 years old, these days it is extremely low. But hey, why change it, right?
It is not even a killstreak. You only need assists to get into a plane.
And what stops them from just strafing you?
Ooooor, just make a new mode without CAS. You can be happy, we can be happy.
This is kind of my experience playing bombers in tank AB. You have to fly around like a spastic squirrel or you’re instantly dead in the first 5s. And if you do take any fire your wing/tail falls off instantly. The tailgunners are utterly useless.
I think they can balance it out by giving bombers weaker payloads, but more hp. It gets a bit silly sometimes when I get a bomber with 10+ 1000lb bombs and I can literally just pepper the map and get 5+ kills.
