My justification will be based of the 3rd, I adore the mirage 2000 in the current meta site to its competent radar, MICAs, high CM count, robust FM, HMD and guns.
Emphasis on the MICAs and HMD combo which make the jet the ultimate thorn in the side of literally any jet in the matchmaker, you are now than maneuverable enough to keep up with everything and fast enough to remain competitive with other 4th gens (doesn’t quite keep up with the 4.5s).
My strategy for flying this plane is to bring full missile loadout with 26 mins of fuel (no tank), once you take off (or on airspawn) pull off to the left and climb to roughly 5000m (just below contrail height).
Switch your radar to close band TWS and use manual controls to scan the airspace, (keeping an eye on stragglers who head off to their right in search of a quick kill).
Then once the first people begin to die during the BVR spam, assess your surroundings for enemies and turn into the furball, try and envision arcing around it and peeking in, maintaining your speed and altitude as an energy leverage and then try and plant your MICAs directly onto people’s foreheads (they ignore multipathing if launched correctly) or at people up high and within 15km (notching is difficult for the average BVR spamming EFT/F-15).
This is a brief (still lengthy lol) guide to a playstyle applicable to nearly any to tier jet and provides a very flexible and dominant approach to the Meta in Air RB, combined with good notching skill and effective employment of your Thales RDY can easily garner multi-kills and Ace matches.

A21RB, its simply a great aircraft, good guns, great turning, great speed and of course its very fun to fly.

DB-7, for a bomber its amazing, bomb load worthy of two bases and fantastic speed making sure you get to the bases.

ITP - it “completes me” (20,999 kills)
J-21 A-1 - there’s 3 of them, I just have more kills in this one(11,206), spawned first usually, but I don’t play them anymore because they raised the BR’s a bit too much . . . still good planes tho, great guns
Dolgushin’s La-7 - flies out behind the ITP, but the La-7’s are very good for me & my playstyle (15,744 & 9,339 for La-7) K/D ratios are 2 - 3/1 (I don’t spawn camp . . . ever)
There are a lot more that I like very much, but these 5 - 6 mentioned I have used the most and have better luck using a majority of the time . . . they’re just fun

Wyvern S.4 - It’s simply beyond busted, and a rather brainless plane that works to just massacre enemies.
Mitsubishi F-1 (also T-2K) - Both are pretty slept on right now, the 10.0 matchmaker is pretty good, and honestly the lack of countermeasures isn’t a real handicap if you just position yourself right. Pretty fast planes as well, so if you do find yourself needing to make quick strikes it works due to the snappy flight model with lots of nose authority at high speed.
F-86F-40 - My glorious sabre. One of the most enjoyable aircraft to fly in the game imo. Nothing truly bad about it if i have to be honest.
I’d like to put more here, those are just some of my most enjoyed aircraft so far.

Bruh he ain’t even lying. His top 25 aircraft in arcade have a combined 112,079 air kills (not even counting ground kills), for an average of 4,483 kills per plane.

And just to clarify, I have never, not even once, shot an enemy plane in their own spawn. All kills have been just playing the game as it has been laid out . . I like dogfighting in props more than anything else in the game, so . . . that’s what I do

Alpha Jet TH My beloved. Its only been here for a short time and i absolutely love it. The missiles add that extra range performance and aggressiveness it was missing, whist having the flight performance able to stomp anything in a 1 v 1 low speed dogfight (Drakens, F-5E, MiG23 and anything inbetween) ive had a blast playing this aircraft!
SU-39! This plane + Air RB is a treat. yes, you cant dogfight if the enemy wants you dead. but you are immune from getting suprise ambushed due to the IRCCM device on the rear. R-73 at that BR too has gotten me some amazing kills (along with all the zombies bombing bases). overall just a beautiful version of the Su-25 and a great grinder for USSR.
SAAB105. Whist i have played both, This plane is so surprising! nimble and having aim9B at this BR is really fun (and the air spawn too, pretty op imo) but ive had some great dogfights against mig17 and sabres when they just pull wrong thinking they have you, but it just keeps fighting. would have loved internal cannons because they can be wide at times and just miss when the enemy is RIGHT THERE!
Other notable planes :
Strikemaster.88 ( death by 1000 paper cuts with those guns, but its flight performance means if you can keep guns on, they will disintegrate and its so satisfying)
JAS39A (This version specifically, not having the Aim120 in trade for -0.7BR is a welcome trade! it dogfights like a beast and the Aim9M is still strong (and downtiers you are unstoppable)
J10A (its missiles are beautiful, and its dogfight capability is still strong)
JF-17 (it looks cool, flys even cooler! (and someone made a Myanmar cyan camo for it, give it a try))
Rafale / EuroFighter (just the coolest looking jets ever. ill wait till ive played them more first, right now the matches at top tier are chaotic and ive only had a few gunfights in the rafale in match)

Thats quite okay LeChance, your experience and geniality are always welcome…I didnt pretty much a fly a prop much at all the last 3-4 months…But recently have returned to them as they are relaxing and I get burned out on “missile warfare” all the time. Whew, you have amassed quite a record!!

Yes, I came “back” to the Sabre and realized it is one of the best planes in game. I had it at a time, all I wanted was the next best thing. When I came back to it, with more experience on top of it…The only thing bad you can say about it is at 8.7 you get uptiered a lot, and even though looking around, get smashed by a aim9b occasionally…lol and I hate to admit that.
Getting to the bases is def a key, a lot of in game Air RB “bombers or strike aircraft” do not make it on time.
AD-4/AM-1 (big radial engine, big boom, big fun)
F-86A-5 and to a lesser degree F-86F-2 (generally just pleasant to use, though I do hope the US gets one with missiles at some point, or an F-86H)
F-15. I don’t even have it but I just love the way it looks and how it has a balance of speed and solid maneuverability with amazing payload potential and a solid radar
Ooh yeah, I got DB-7 for 10th anniversary event and it’s a very low risk SL printer with a booster
I will say, I love my F15C and F16C. I flew the F16 quite a few missions when it had the aim7s, which never coupled with its radar, I thought as they do with the F15A radar.
I am very close to the Eurofighter, I have Mig29smt and Su27sm…But the plane I want the most is that Mirage 2000c-e5. After flying my 12.3 Mirage, I already know I like its flight performance without having flown it. It is usually a Mica which gets me in an uptier battle, and I know many of the hotcrap pilots on YouTube mention its effectiveness and radar, particularly from medium range on in.
Unfortunately, France tree came along as I was taking 7-8 years off from this game and I am a long way from it…Maybe one day, before it gets treated like my Mig29s did lol.
Yes, I have never taken the AD-4 out, only test flown it…it looks fun and maybe one evening I will get in the mood to check it out.
The F15…I love it. I skipped over the F15A to get to the C…then one evening I was looking at its armament (4 aim7MS, 4 aim9Ms) and the F15 radar makes those Aim7s work, not like the puny Phantom radar. And I know the matchmaker is being pretty friendly for BR13 at the moment. Both the A and C are super fun to fly, you have that great engine, with a 22 second turn time, you can deploy the flaps at a very high speed, lots of countermeasure. It is a blast to fly,…and Yes I love the way it looks too. Its a Beast.
I also have an all black skin on my F16C…lol which I think is very cool. Good Luck Mate

Would you recommend going for the F-16A, F-15A, or F-15E first?
Remember that the chinese now also have the mirage 2000-5. Yea the mirage is a fun plane. The f-15c and f-16c with the amraams are more meta id say but the mirage is a nice blend.
A6M5 Ko, still my highest air kill count plane in RB. I love how it flies, and I know those cannons like the back of my hand. Its a shame its been nerfed to uselessness in air RB these days, but still take it out in GRB sometimes where it completely dominates the skies right up until you start fighting jets.
Spitfire LF MK IX - (specifically the American prem one, but also the British one) Basically the same reason as the A6M5, but now with more speed and performance. Hispanos are a bit more inconsistent, but still good enough, and it hasnt been nerfed to the ground.
Third right now is probably the F-5E FCU. A plane that is absolutely not busted overpowered at all and Gaijin should totally not raise its BR so I can continue abusing… i mean… enjoying it.
