Because the M19 and M42 have non-existent armour and can be MGed for the most part.
I’m going to assume you’ve never played it as an anti-air.
There’s a reason people will take BTR-152s and milk trucks over it. The ballistics suck for anti-air work, and it is hilariously badly armoured. Anything that is HMG and above will hurt it a lot in the turret area.
Because a) The Kugel has actually got armour to withstand air attack, and in some cases, survive multiple tank rounds (mainly solid shot/APDS is the culprit here), and b) you get a realistic chance of hitting and killing planes with the 30mm on the Kugel.
I’m guessing he means the 341/Coelian, which is on a Panther hull (check?), which has ungodly mobility (it is a panther hull), has the pen and damage to make flanking most tanks bar the heavies viable.
in that case yeah, it’s OP (specially with it’s new APHE belts), but it’s a removed tank so there’s nothing to complain about. Gaijin will always say “oh but not all people have it! so we can buff it without much issues since they’re not real, which means they can have 900hp, 284mm of penetration and a faster reload than the one in the Jagdtiger! jsjsjs”.
going to explode if something/someone says that again. just because not everyone can get it, doesn’t mean you stop supporting it. It’d be like releasing a premium aircraft without all its features, promising to add them later on, and then not-
i wasn’t saying that removed vehicles should keep getting buffed like the Coelian or the Tiger II (10.5cm), just saying that Gaijin doesn’t care about balancing them cuz “oh, not all players have it, that means almost none of this removed vehicles will face current 2026 vehicles, so we can ignore nerfing them”.
while Tiger IIs got their engine nerfed to 600hp, the Tiger II (10.5cm) stayed with it’s 900hp and idk if it still has 900hp or Gaijin finally nerfed them (plus i think they still have max speed 42km/h while normal KTs have 38km/h).
The XM246 also doesn’t get anywhere near as many modules as many other 35 Oerlikon carriers. Where many of them can be disabled by sneezing at them this one can often keep firing after being hit with little issue.
It gets the same modules as the other 35mm carriers, but their placement is what matters. There’s a lot of armor covering the modules making it less likely they’re knocked out. It can be disabled you just have to aim for specific points instead of just putting your cursor over it and expecting a free kill.
Wasn’t angling for that to be honest. I don’t mind them getting buffed if it meant they were balanced. They’re annoying as whatsit to fight because of the autocannons, but that’s not a problem exclusive to Coelian or Kugel.
What I was saying is that Gaijin should continue to maintain them, keep them balanced, and otherwise ticking over.
Because it’s not the same engine. It wasn’t forgotten. And just because you find the Flakpanzer annoying doesn’t mean it needs a change, necessarily. Sometimes you are the one that needs to adapt to your new master (Flakpanzer). The ones who keep playing their T29s, etc, like they’re still the top-dog are the ones suffering the most. Those that respect what the Flakpanzer can do fair better. USA 7.0 simply isn’t dominating anymore when there are Flakpanzers around. Been a good change.
It needs to change and i’m not the only one complaining, that thing got an unfair buff getting access to APHE rounds WHILE USING THE SAME CANNONS AS THE OSTWIND.
What does the Ostwind have that it can’t get access to APHE also? Or why would a german 37mm AAA cannon get APHE?
Lol i will do like i didn’t hear that.
I adapt to any situations, buddy, what do u think uptiers do? Or what do u think Flogger MLD players Will have to do when they start facing a twin-engine supersonic air superiority aircraft with the best radar for it’s new BR? Well, adapt.
