Again, I can’t verify this, but if this were true, why might it be that Russian and Chinese players aren’t dying that much in the first place
Skill, and maybe a bit of coordination. Better attitude/approach. Many reasons could be found in this angle.
Player attitude per nation is impossible to measure, average skill is somewhat measurable, but unreliable because other factors could explain the metrics used to determine skill.
NO!
Keep that data secret forever!
I do not want Squadrons manipulating win rates with that level of ease.
Also, top ground is already balanced.
This October ish marks 3 years… We are on 3 years…
They won’t do it because they are a dishonest company.
And I am going to keep ODL until they fix the bias and balance the game. I do this, I will admit it. I don’t really care anymore. Winning the match and wasting time when its a map I hate, or a full BR uptier. Nope, I am out. I will go fly my jets until the crew lock ends.
I am unashamed to admit I love ODL in this game.
This is 100% the truth. Why stick around against 3 o279s just to have them respawn in 8 other vehicles that match including the T55AM-1 which dominates at 8.7. Nah, better to just go to the next match.
It isn’t skill. It 100% isn’t skill. Its bias and magical russian vehicles. russian TT players have never had to learn to aim. If they fixed it… and made ERA work correctly. You would see the downfall of an entire player base.
The likely answer is. They have invested so much into russian bias and artificially nerfed vehicles that at this point if they actually fixed their bullshi… those players would just leave. They have never learned how to do anything but press W, eat everything shot at them point, click, laugh, and profit.
Mindset actually has a lot to do with your teams success, and staying power the same… It’s unfortunate many write this off as a reason.
@Crazed_Otter
They can’t force players to be less skilled.
All they can do is keep things balanced and hope skilled players move around.
You can be proud that you’re not as good of a player as players playing Soviets, but good lord…
Soviets have to learn to aim from 4.0 onward.
They don’t get “lolpen” rounds until 9.0 when they’re facing low-armored MBTs.
Then they have to learn again at top BRs.
Nah, not in this game. When you have clearly blatantly OP vehicles in one nation consistently. People are not stupid. While many russian mains will make excuses to hell and high water… The reality is, people aren’t stupid. They can see through the bias.
Edit yep. Just went into three games as Russia BR 8.7. All I did was spawn in with an MI-24A. All 3 games I got at least 1 kill by simply lobbing the 128 unguided rockets 3km at the enemy from the start of the game… Required zero skill, and I got to land and repeat it over and over.
Strv 122 is good, that doesn’t make it OP just cause it’s more armored than all other tanks.
“How dare you” gaijin said
He is basically fanatic in his belief of russia being op. Russian teams could go a full month without a win and the second they win against him, they are op.
No, no, and no
Winrates and vehicle statistics should be publicly available, seeing as it’s how vehicles are balanced, I don’t mind if a group of players get together in an attempt to get a specific obscure vehicle uptiered if we actually get the complete data so that the arguments about incomplete data on balance can finally end.
Top tier is not balanced, if that were true all narions should have a relatively even winrate across the board, the fastest way to “balance” top tier would be to take away nation based mm, which I’m completely in favor of seeing how realism went out the window ages ago.
Winrates should never be publicly available.
If you want to foot the bill for the 100+ staff required to ban people that abuse the information, by all means put up the money.
But this game cannot survive with such added staff that already needs to worry about cheaters without needing to worry about people abusing data.
Winrates aren’t how vehicles are balanced. They’re an extremely minor indicator on if a vehicle needs attention.
No, if ALL nations had equally skilled players winrates would be identical.
I fail to see how “information abuse” could arise, people already have a good indicator of what the best vehicles in the game are and flock to them.
And if skill were the primary determining factor in top tier balance, then Italy, Isreal, and GB should be absolutely stomping when the data we do have is contradictory to that claim.
Surely, you would agree that if nation based matchmaking was eliminated and vehicles were distributed more evenly, balance would improve, we’ve already seen this in top tier air where mirrors are more or less every match and nations have relatively uniform winrates because they fight themselves all the time.
No, people don’t flock to the best vehicles, people flock to the best players.
Winrates indicate where the best players are.
If winrate data is ever leaked, everyone would know where the best players are.
No, winrates indicate the best vehicles, as with top tier air, when the vehicles on each team are the same, the winrates equalize, there’s a reason Sweden ground has a higher winrate than any other minor nation and has had an influx, and it’s not because of player skill.
Plus I don’t see how players making an informed decision about what to play is bad for the game.
I can show you a match last night where someone thought within the first minutes that they knew how the game was going, died, spectated the rest of the match moaning and mocking the thought that someone like me couldn’t tell when a match was finished in the first minutes, that the rest of the team and I won.
It’s very common. This was even a Russian nation player, and he seemed so confident his name was even set to some dumb statement about the players of the game…
I fully admit that my battlefield analysis has been wrong a few times as well.
Team tactics matters more than anything else at 11.7.
You can bring an 11.0, and if your team is doing tactics properly, you won’t even get shot.
Of course, this is War Thunder.
Bringing the best round you can on the best all-rounder tank you can is the ideal situation.
