It has no meaning to have BR 1-13 …it’s not fun.
Why not creating more official rooms with grouped br?
I am struggling to understand your question.
Air sim has br brackets.
Every 2 days those brackets rotate. The stickied post on /r/warthundersim has a bracket calendar (on phone so cannot grab it easily).
Having line ups for each ec bracket can help quickly scroll through the lobby without getting overwhelmed by the “show unavailable” button.
You can create lobbies yourself. Some br brackets are more popular than others though due to iconic planes, spawn costs, max reward potential and which version it is today (flying your favourite pland when it is bottom bracket is frustrating and so if many people have their favorites at say 4.0 and it is 4.0-5.0… the 4.0-5.0 wont be as populated as when 4.0 is in the middle. This is a random example, ifk if a lot of people got 4.0 as their favorite br)
I think he is asking why there are not more lobbies that are nearly full instead of 4-5 lobbies that have like 4 people a piece in them?
First of all, sorry. My english is garbage :D
And thanks for your detailed answer, I really appreciate it :)
So, let me post a screenshot so I can better show what I meant
This is what you get, when you click simulator battles.
As you can see BR is 1-13.7
Meaning that, if you dont have 13.7 you are in a clear disadvantage. What is the meaning of this?
Second question: is this the only “official room” ?
If i click on Room list, I can find more sim rooms with better br groups (which is what I like) but they seem “not official”
Am i correct?
Ah, you misunderstand what the screen reads.
It is not 1-13.7. You need to click “Room list” to see the actual lobbies.
Each lobby is a maximum 1.0 BR difference.
This is the calendar I mentioned:

Screenshot:
How it looks in-game - see my mouse?
I press “room list”
Now it turns into:
Because my line up’s lowest is 3.3 and highest is 4.3, I see rooms for 2.3-3.3 and 3.7-4.7.
I can join any room from the list. Important part is “Battle already in progress.” I do not recommend joining if time is bigger than 2 hour, as it might be over too quick to enjoy.
Lobbies on left are grouped by who fights who, this mostly follows historical friends and enemies.
Other important button: “Select servers” - I recommend enabling all then decide if lag is too much.
“Only Available” filters to only rooms you can join.
If I change what planes I have picked, the rooms change:
Planes are now 8.0 and 8.7. They both fall in same bracket, so I only see 7.7-8.7 battles.
You can join battles as long as 1 plane is within the minimum and maximum rating. You can use ANY plane that is under the minimum (I could fly a 4.0 plane in this jet room). However, you cannot take planes with higher BR than maximum.
If you press “Create Session”:
You can pick what BR can join (see calendar, this changes every 2 days)
You can also pick who fights who:
Notice how some nations can either be friends or enemies, while some nations can only be friends or enemies, never both. This does not change with BR minimum maximum you pick.
All rooms are official. Meaning, EAC must be enabled and you will get paid RP and silver lions, but must pay silver lions to spawn. You will get punished for teamkilling and cheating. However, teamkilling is tracked by computer so unless you do it a lot, it will not be an issue (it’s easy to accidentally teamkill in sim - which is why it is important to regularly press “T - 4 - 1” as it tells your friends where you are. If you hear teammate press that button, you cannot go wrong pressing it too.)
Way reward works in sim is different though. You do not get rewarded for your actions. Instead, you get rewarded for surviving 15 minute cycles AND getting score.
This is called “Useful actions” and it gives rewards like this:
200 points = 54% reward
400 points = 75% reward
600 points = 86% reward
800 points = 90% reward
1050+ points = 92% reward
Please note the above is assuming you return home and land safely. Without landing, you get minus 20% reward. Landing gives you the reward you did not get even if you stayed alive for 30-45 or so minutes without landing.
If you die, you get rewarded for score x alive time / 15 minute max time. You also get some score for dying as a compensation if enemy shot you.
If you leave early, you get rewarded like you died. However, reward will not be given until match ends.
You can leave match and rejoin as you want. Limit is that once you join match, you cannot change what planes you want to fly in that match.
I hope this helps!
This is a good library of videos and tutorials, but feel free to ask questions if the english is too hard.

I am an idiot.
Sorry xD
Ok, this is way more tasty.
I’m approching SIM with HOTAS (I come from DCS, superb, but too slow if you have not so much time to play)
Thank you very much for your detailed info! I’ll read everything and study with calm :)
Appreciate!
If you flew DCS, you’ll have no problems! Welcome and have fun!
Just lower your expectations - War Thunder is not the same as DCS (much more simplified)
and you’re not an idiot - the game has no guidance.
One tip for you - if you have a wager, avoid the rooms that have “1-16” in the Players (Min - Max) area because those won’t count towards your wager.
