Why the hell are russian vehicles at such low BR?

I’m surprised it’s still 10.3 and not 10.0.

It’s player stats are and always have been very poor, it’s not a beginner friendly vehicle and the overall statistics indicate that.

Mainly to encourage players to grind the new meta. For the same reason, premium vehicles almost never go up in BR.

It’s foolish to think Gaijin is driven by balance considerations, especially when it comes to premium vehicles. And even more naive to think they care about forum discussions.

Calling the MUSS an APS is an Insult for every REAL APS in the game, even for Trophy which is Bugged…

Nothing would actually be better because all MUSS does is increase the height of your vehicle and make it easier to spot.

The kind of ATGMs that it can be used against are never used at the BR of the Puma. Only Konkurs, Milan, TOW-1 and HOT-1.

That’s literally how they do it, and they have said that before. They use a metric called efficiency (basically unmodified SL earnings) to determine how good a vehicle is.

Mind you the PUMA aps hasnt worked for 1 whole year and the puma composite cant witshtand heavy rounds at most some 30 mm shots but that’s if ur lucky, u really need to check what you are saying before positing It my man, also the aps Is not even hardkill

I have played the bradley. The missile isnt bad and the gun works really nicely against all mbts.

People complaining doesnt not show how good it is. I do feel like there is a limit to how far down they want to drop it. If we just went off pure stats, it probably would of went down in br due to how many people rush and get insta killed in it.

Geemany does have better mbts but its cas is non-existant. Top tier is also not the only metric. US has the best cas options at most brs and solid mbts.
Russia does get better AtG missiles though.

Forget about the BMD. Why in God’s name is the Object 268 still 7.0?

We have asked multiple times in the cry threads threads for literally anyone with 50+ games in it to come forward with a 2kd or higher and havent found anyone. Its really not that good, its just annoying to die to. Gun depression is imo the #1 thing that lets it down.

Bmd4 can for sure go up .3 br and be fine though, but same goes for things like the turm III etc. BMD actually has amazing gun depression via the susupension.

About the PUMA its basically the most suvivable vehicle in the entire game bar none, and the muss doesnt even work and there are other bugs with it like losing tracks on ammo rack or the gun permentely disabled after repairing. The only thing that sucks about it is the RoF is poor, if it had ungovernered RoF and the bugs fixed it would be an amazing vehicle.

Probably the biggest reason the 2S38 hasn’t gone up is the fact that Russian 10.3 has a terrible wr currently.

(Which is really funny considering Russia has one of if not the best 10.3 lineups in game. And thats just in premiums)

Its just another instance of gaijin prioritizing statistics before capabilities when it comes to balance and BR placement.

MBT wise the 10.3 tanks aren’t that great. Turms is pretty bad, UD is fine, both have the awful 4km reverse and poor depression. I hated the bmp2m, aside from finding the perfect hill you can launch atgms while 90% covered via commander sight theres just no safe way to play that vehicle with 4 degrees of gun depression and no adjustable suspension like the bmd, it was only fun on full city maps and I just dont care for urban combat. 2s38 fairs better but again poor depression makes playing it in a safe manner nearly impossible.

If the 2s38 had NATO equivilent depression of like 8-10 degrees of depression it would easily be 11.0+ material. You would actually be able to leverage the unmanned turret. Stuff like the hstvl with 17 degrees terrify me when played behind a hill, theres just not a whole lot you can do to it unless they are sitting still and you have HE loaded, and its still a difficult shot to hit as barely any of the vehicle is exposed while being able to take shots.

Survivability is not just a factor of armor, mobility lets you get out of bad situations or reverse into cover faster, and gun depression allows you to be agressive while exposing as little of your vehicle as possible. Armor aside from the turret face is one of the least important factors imo.

Also you can watch the WTCS matches from this week, russian tanks even with the 12.0 bvm and t90m not banned saw virtually no play, I understand smoke rounds are important so things like the IPM1 are popular but aside from 2 times on berlin I never saw a russian tank being played by players opting to use smokeless 120mm+ tanks.

That’s complete nonsense. There are vehicles in the game that have been broken and unplayable since they were introduced, and they stayed that way for years. According to your logic, their BR should have dropped by several points — but in reality, it never changed at all.
On the other hand, there are vehicles at top tier that let you win by face-rolling, and their BR hasn’t changed for years either. And then there are “new additions” like the BMD-4M, which are just completely inexplicable.

2S38’s a slightly better CV9040C, and the CV9040C is arguably over-BR’d.
BMD-4’s equals are all 9.3 & 9.0 as well.
2 of my nukes are with France 7.7. Is France 7.7 horrifically under-BR’d to you?

As you said, they don’t care about Forum discussions and data, as you said is nonsense then what’s the source for the battle rating changes?

IS-3, the chassis which the Object 268 is based on is far from being a effective vehicle at battle rating 7.3, the Object 268 used to be battle rating 6.7 though, it can go at higher battle rating but I have to consider the pain that would be to deal with much superior main battle tanks for example at battle rating 8.0 and battle rating 8.3.

MUSS doesnt affect any laser guided, beam riding or SACLOS with IRCCM missiles. So from all the missiles available at 11.0/10.3 the only ones it can affect are Atakas (not the beamriding kind) and TOW/I-TOW. And it can only affect them if the turret is aiming at the location they have been fired from as the activation range for MUSS is so close that it might as well not exist. When missiles are going 550m/s and the activation range is around 250 meters, that half a second or less is not even enough for the MUSS to turn to face the threat lmao.

Perhaps. Though for its flaws, i feel it is better than having gaijin look at stat cards of vehicles. Unless we want to move the ebr back to 4.7.

That what i first thought but it under the range limit so… or sometimes the missle just kinda go around the vehicles.
