Well, top tier planes should be more about skills… is the top of what air battles can offer.
If you remove markers from missiles, top tier players should have develop awareness to get there.
In my opinion, you should not remove markers from missiles, only reduce your spotting distance. If you want a full sim experience there are other modes and other games.
But I think that markers right now give you too much information from too far away, not only with missiles, but planes models, player names, etc. RB is not supposed to be SB, but is not AB either.
I don’t want missile markers removed for realism, I want them removed to increase the potency of missiles making player positioning in battle much more important.
If you can’t easily see incoming missiles you have to care about where in the battle you’re going to take your plane. If you furball you will open yourself to very easy ganking.
I think it would provide more dynamic engagements and discourage the current playstyle of furballing.
Looooool this whole conversation I thought u actually had a 12.0+ plane and argued with me about 9Ms and I just found out you are so far from that and not even touched basic 11.0+ planes XD
You really need to at least play 10 battles at top BRs to talk about changing the game mechanic, I mean for real.
He is just upset that i wont fall for his “gotcha”. He wants me to say “removing the marker will have zero effect” so then he can hit back with “if it wont affect gameplay, why are you against removing it?”
"Why do you feel you need the red marker? Are you unable to recognize the enemy’s position around you? Are you worried you can’t head on an F-16 with impunity?
Why deflect from the actual discussion?"
It was because I wanted you to say “removing the marker with have zero effect” despite myself repeatedly noting that this change would radically change how the missile mechanics are currently implemented and that I want the dynamic changed.
That’s what I really wanted, I wanted you to say the markers have zero effect. You’ve found out my plan, I can’t believe the intelligence you’ve shown deducing my real reason for asking you to defend the existence of the markers as is the topic of this thread. Thank you so much for revealing to everyone the level of your intelligence.
If you’re not going to discuss, then why open a thread?
Having information from markers is fine because people don’t make the right choice every time. ‘Too much information’ doesn’t make us play perfectly, it means we have counterplay against getting ganked from a random direction that we didn’t see.
Since getting slammed by a missile you didn’t see is already the most common cause of death for people, I don’t see why you want to make it worse. And it would ruin top tier with the 9Ms.
Player position is extremely important. Which targets you go for makes a huge difference. Your missile will do more if you shoot it at someone who is distracted. There’s no need to remove missile markers when you can exploit the fact that no one can look 360 degrees around them all the time.
You realize furballing is a dynamic engagement, right? You realize some of us are here to have fun in dogfights, right? Right now, I can take a 2v2 in air RB if I see that I’m not about to get third-partied, but I won’t be able to without markers. I will have no idea if I’m about to get ganked by a third-party missile.
Your statement is conflicting with itself.
What happens with no markers is that everyone is bored, so they go straight to the action when they see something happening. Same furball, less enjoyable gameplay.
If you want dogfighting then I recommend you play props.
Yet it is ignored by 90% of Air RB players.
I have been responding to the majority of comments in this thread but if someone is going to deflect the conversation to instead personally attack me then no I will not respond it is a waste of time.
Excuse me, are you taking all the “effective counter-opinion” to yours as a personal attack here?
You HAVE to admit your lack of knowledge in the top tier because I hope you still remember, you said something like this while we were all talking about IR missiles↓
I have said this so many times and you still ignore this but I will still say this.
“You need more knowledge about the game to talk about changing game mechanics”
One thing I noticed reading your responses past few weeks here on the forum is that you are a die hard contrarian. Whatever the case, you always hold the opposite opinion and bring out the most nonsensical examples.
I am just gonna ignore you from now on to save me my mental battery. Don’t bother replying to my comments, I won’t be reading them.
You don’t know what contrarian means.
For me to be a contrarian I’d have to 1: Be posting things I personally disagree with.
2: Have contradicting views.
I exclusively post sincere honest statements & my views are 100% consistent.
You can ignore the entire War Thunder community all you want, we’re right & you’re wrong.
