Now that the f15 is 12.7 I straight up dont see why its 13.0. It has only 2 fox1s and then just short range ir missiles at 13.0 It doesnt even fly all that great. Am I playing it wrong or somn

The early F-15s are undertiered and should not be used as an argument to change the BR of other vehicles.
Having said that, the M4K is indeed poorly suited for 13.0, especially because all the gatewidth IRCCM missiles barely work.
It would not be the worst decision to put it 12.7 since its clearly worse than the F-15 and it makes sense for it to share the same BR as the belgian F-16A for example…
…but the whole bracket is unbalanced and very compressed and I think adressing that is the only solution instead of moving vehicles up or down in a very compressed bracket which doesn’t fix anything it the first place since it will be creating different issues
The thing is, Gaijin said they don’t want to decompress so nothing will ever happen at all I guess

It has incredible flight model idk what you are on about, its problem is that it always faces fox-3s requiring you to get close to use your magic 2s.
The 530D are good, but not when you are fighting fox-3 missiles.
There needs to be decompression or a cut between Fox-3 missile trucks and non-fox-3 missile trucks.
And I use the term missile truck because the premium Su-30 can carry like what, 8? fox-3 missiles? at 13.3 vs the M4k that has 0.
The only viable way to win against that jet in a 1v1 is to notch constantly and then maybe you have the energy to dogfight when you reach your target. Which puts you at quite the disadvantage I guess.
I wish I could have played it when it first came out.

It’s also not a very good dogfighter since the FM isn’t that good, it’s worse than the M2K except for acceleration
8 Magic 2s+okay flight model. 12.7 would be undertiered, just like almost every other IRCCM user at 12.7. However the artificial compression and nerfs to gatewidth irccm for some reason, it isn’t as strong as it could be.
I am fully against moving it and any other 13.0 aircraft down in BR because it will just make BR compression so much worse.
It is good but like you said its not fox3 good. It doesnt have any suitable weponary for the br two sarhs

there is also 4 irccm + 4 sarh at 12.7 in the form of f15 I dont how it would be an issue. Simply having more wepons doesnt make the plane more op atleast imo

That’s fair but I don’t think we should make compression worse than it is by moving things down.
The issue here is too many magics makes it go higher but at the same time even if you had 100 magics on the mirage 13.0 would still be too high. It has no worthwhile radar missiles for its BR (no the 530D at 13.0 is just not it).
So it’s in this stupid limbo where it cannot go down because too many good missiles but it’s at such a BR where those missiles can barely be used because you have to get into short range of the enemies to be able to use them effectively. I hvae the 8 magics unlocked on it but have given up spading it because I just cannot get in range before I am smacked by a fox-3.
And it used to be even worse when the rafale and such were 14.0 because you would literally get no downtiers ever and you can imagine trying to play a mirage with 8 IR missiles and nothing else against fox 3 ARH slingers that would fire on you from 50km away.

Because tournaments is not air RB
The MiG-29 is a short range interceptor, with R-27ERs and HMD.
Which is ideal for short range maps (which tournament maps are, unlike air RB maps)
The vehicles it can fight in tournaments is also much more limited compared to RB
Using tournaments here to compare it with air RB is disingenuous
It’s like using a plane’s performance in grb to justify how it does in air rb

Even when alot of kills in the games i watched were gun kills as missiles were dodged most games- mig29 was still top dog.

? You are an imbecile if you can’t make use of the F-15A in its current state.
Compared to the MiG-29 at 12.7 it has: better FM, better defensive kit, better overall missile kit.
Which in air RB, is just too strong for 12.7.
In tournaments the lack of HMD means it isn’t as meta as something with HMD that also has radar missiles
Keep in mind that tournaments are also 4v4, not 16v16.

Using one to justify balancing in the other is just stupid
The mig 29 had r60s too and still used over the f15.
4 vs 4 …Its the same game just less targets.
OK CM ammount doesnt matter as much but fighting 4 players who are pro is harder than lobby of noobs.
Again, it is used over the F-15 because it has R-27ER + HMD which is ideal in this short range scenario.
Air RB is still completely unlike tournaments so idk why the hell you think this is good reasoning?
You know the F-15’s capabilities are simply superior in air RB but you don’t want to admit it so you try using a gamemode irrelevant to the normal game to spread your ideals
