Why is the 76 jumbo at 6.3 br

I know 122mm is there on KV-122 or ISU-122 at 5.3, but i didn’t want to bring them up because they lack BR-471D shell which is the main shell you use at IS-4M.

An easy but far reaching fix the community would most likely not like since muh full downtier sealclubbing. Drop the up and downtier max from 1.0 to 0.7. 6.7 won’t face a Maus and the jumbo won’t have to face 7.3 Is-3s

Yeah this is a reasonable idea, but it will end up being confusing because of weird BR numering we have in the game. At different BRs difference of 1 BR bracket may be either 0.3 or 0.4.

If your idea ever gets implemented we would need BR numering to be changed to something like 1.0 - 1.5 - 2.0 - 2.5 etc.

And I have no idea why you would think I wouldn’t use ace crew values to compare tanks.
It makes like no difference to compare aced or non aced tanks with each other.

Are people now supposed to judge based on their feeling whether they should compare vehicles by aced or non aced crews?

Yeah it doesn’t matter if you use ace or non-aced crews for comparison.

All that matters is that both tanks are given the same properties, that is, being stock or spaded, crew level and training. Otherwise the comparison is just unfair because you’re just giving one of the tanks the advantage. Comparisons with aced crew are simply easier to make since that information is available on the wiki and such.

I once had an argument on Reddit where I made an objectively correct statement about the reload rate of two vehicles (I even specified the percentage difference, which does not change between two tanks if their crew training is identical), and the person said I was lying because his two tanks didn’t have this percentage difference, even though I pointed out his two tanks were not of the same level.

No but you can leave them where they are.

Bruh, 3.3 Britain is goated. Crommy V is by far my favorite rank 3.0-4.0 tank in Warthunder, and Britain has great SPAA and CAS options aswell.

Yes, though it sounds like you’d like it to go down when it’s mostly fine at 6.3.

You wont find any sense in this game any way you look at it. Its too OP at 5.3 and out of its depth at 7.3 .Its quite unlikely its going to be played at 6.3 unless its on its own as its going to have to be in a line up of less or greater.
I guess the only way to make sense of it all is to forget about BR in its entirety to a degree.I just find both this and the Pershing to be pitched slightly above what they should be in relation to German and Russian things they face.

I guess this partially why you have ODL and people bailing from the uptier.
Most of the complaints on this forum are related in some way.
Maybe Gaijin should think of a better way of packaging this mess so people are not so anal over it all.

I can see that for the Pershing, but I believe the 76 Jumbo is fine at 6.3. It shouldn’t be the same BR as the Panther / Tiger E (especially because most maps are CQC anyways).

I just think that 6.3-7.3 is quite compressed still, due to the Tigers and Panthers and Jumbos going up to decompress 4.3-5.7 area.
Once the Jumbo 76 no longer has to face Tiger II Hs in a 0.3 BR uptier, then I think it would be perfect.
Just that the only way to do that is to increase the BRs of most 6.7s… not decrease the Jumbo’s BR to 6.0.

And the only way to do that well (without compressing the 7.0-8.0 range) is to increase the Max BR range to something like 12.7 / 13.0 for ground vehicles. (Of course we could definitely need more but that’s a good start for Gaijin).

I’ll give it a big blast later on and get back to you.I do get that it can be a slightly more nimble Panther and and not as mighty as the 6.7 Tiger 2

I wonder if Gaijin removed the numbers from a tank and grouped them in another way with 6 -and 6.3 together a newer player would even notice.I wonder if all these micro BR numbers create more worry than there is to worry about.

You raise some good points .I’ll go away and re-evaluate it at a few BRs.👍

That’s like every Sherman jumbo

Honestly a great buff for the jumbos would be a bit of extra torque out of the transmission to assist with rotating the hull.

In my opinion all the non-panther Fs should move up 0.3 BR. The Panther A still sitting at 5.3 is ridiculous; it is essentially invulnerable from the front (turret has small and trolly weakspots) to everything, and to boot an amazing cannon. The Jumbo 75 on the other hand is slightly better protected, but the Panther’s cannon is leagues above the 75. I do not think the Jumbo 75 should come down (which yes, I have played), but I definitely think the panthers should go up.

Let me guess, you are allies main, right??

Panther A is 6.0. The Panther in 5.3 is D and this is fine in 5.3.

Wait a second lol the panther D is very undertiered at 5.3…its only flaws are slow turret traverse and non existent reverse gear, which can be easily mitigated by simply staying behind sniping, the long 75 is exceptionnal for this br, armor is almost impervious to anything non heat-fs at a distance, weak spot on the turret is pixel sized and prone to volumetric all day long.

That thing could get up to 5.7 tomorrow, in fact most german vehicles could go up in br but the german mains keep them low cause they can’t use their brain a single second in matches.

Is perfectly fine.

Of course nothing like allies mains a superior player race LOL.

I fixed that with something more accurate for you.

Lol come on dude…

1st off, I play most nations and germans up until 6.7 are by far the easiest vehicles to play, you can lolpen most things, take shots easily and they have good mobility for their weight, especially the tigers.

At least if you say that the panther is fine, elaborate a bit, because there are plenty of vehicles that are slower, with a less potent gun, less armor and gun handling that are higher in br, including the Soviet T34-85 if you want to start on the soviets, a tank which gets lolpenned by the panther anyday and will never pen it from the front except on the minuscule turret cheeks.

Ditto the vote to move the Jumbo 76 back down.
