I posted it as a link from Tenor, I’m going to download it first now and edit my post uploading it directly instead. I am curious if it shows up for you then.
I have not seen a report yet, if anyone does know of one please let us know. And/or if someone creates one please make sure to tag/ping/DM me and I can add my own experiences with this issue as a comment to your report 👍
+1 to having seen it bug out myself, multiple times. I play light tanks most of the time so I try to help everyone who needs repairs (because light tanks repair teammates faster.) So, I encounter LOTS of teammates who do not have parts yet. VERY often, maybe like 50% of the time, they will “stop” the repair request, restart, stop again etc etc etc before I can actually help them repair. Imo, this is almost certainly caused by the repair keybind (“F” by default) not working/showing properly etc.
I am very confidant that it IS bugging out because it happens to me almost every time that I start spading a new ground vehicle. I am VERY careful about pressing F to start the request so that I hopefully do not bug it out. But even while paying very close attention to the repair request, I have to cancel and restart the request at least 50% of the time.
There seems to possibly be multiple issues happening at the same time (at least from my perspective as a player.)
First, it doesn’t seem to always give you the option to request repair help right away and/or sometimes it STARTS the repair request itself, so that when you try and start the request, you are actually cancelling it (but it doesn’t SHOW you that it started the request itself, so you do not know that you are actually cancelling it. Idk, but I 100% agree that the displayed state of the “request” is not “synced” properly between the server and client.)
Second, even once you are past that first potential issue, it seems like there is a “desync” between the server and the client about if you are actually in repair “request mode”. Thus, causing even further request>cancel>request>cancel loops.
