Why is ground grind so hard in comparison to air grind?

Over my time playing war thunder, I have unlocked 3 nation’s top tier air. (Germany, USA, and Soviet forces.) In comparison, I’ve only been able to reach top tier ground for one nation: The USA. I also have very similar play time in both GRB and ARB, but I have significantly less progress in GRB. I’m also a better player in GRB, with a 1.22 K/D in GRB all time and a .99 K/D in ARB. Why is the ground grind so much harder? is it volume of vehicles or what??

Double-whammy of GRB being a respawn based mode where the way activity is calculated isn’t a 1:1 f(time in match, score earned) but rather considers time alive in multiple vehicles with score earned in those vehicles contributing differently AND the coefficients for RP being lower across the board, but most notably - time alive.

100% activity, alive for 20 minutes, no other sources of RP, 100% economy modifier, ignoring win/loss

ARB 20x60x1.22 = 1464
GRB 20x60x0.71 = 852

the aircraft in ground RB are not the problem… The grinding is. Simulator, while a good option, only allows certain vehicles at random times

Cause Gaijin expects you to multi-spawn in ground.
If you want air RB rewards in ground RB you want a no-respawn ground mode.

When doing really good in both gamemodes, you still get less in GRB than you do in ARB. We’ve had this discussion before, and I showed you evidence to support that.

Ground needs a considerable rewards buff.

Again, if you want a “rewards buff” for only one game mode you want a one life only ground RB mode.
And as I’ve proven with screenshots, multi-life ground matches are equal in earnings to air RB.

What do you think about a increase in simulator battles rewards? It’s limited to 3 respawns, compared to realistic battles where people can spawn up to 5 vehicles, not considering backups; Yet very much for almost nothing compared what you need to do in realistic battles, this may be a good way to attract people to play simulator battles, and in a certain point removing the vehicle rotation system.

1st That woldn’t work and would be less fun than air RB
2nd where is the problem of increasing rewards for example 20%?
Just increas base RP and most things are done

I always play multiple vehicles in GRB. I play around 5 tank lineups, but for the amount of time i spend in GRB battles compared to ARB, ARB is a much more rewarding gamemode. a 13 kill GRB game is about equivalent to a 3-kill ARB game

Yeah, hard limit of 3 spawns SB should give more.
Especially since the hard F2P limit for GRB is 5 spawns.

The thing is rewards are normalized for the context of each game mode.
Per minute RP is similar across all game modes.
Game modes have different expectations. GRB expects you to spawn 2.5 times on average.
If 1:1 is expected for air, 3:3 is expected for ground. Though mid-low you can get 5:5 semi-consistently which grants more rewards than air RB matches on average.

Skill differences between air and ground should be ignored as that’s bias.
I’m better at air than ground, that’s a bias of mine that I have to ignore.

So do I need to spawn more often to get more rewards?
I mean when I get a match where I got 4000 score and tha match took 15 min I get around 20k in a high tier premium. With 4000 score and 15 min game in air RB I get 40k which is almost double the RP.

Score is not directly connected to RP.
And yes, ground RB expects you and the enemy to spawn at least ~2.5 times on average.
It’s why the per-frag rewards are less to equalize the per-minute RP rewards.

In over 5000 battles I never got mre than 30k rp in a good match without boosters ofc

I usually can’t even get 20k RP, even when i nuke

What did you expect from air-biased devs ?

And even then after 7,204,711 total score in GRB I only managed to grind 1 tree fully. And I got china and russia and sweden almost toptier while with just a bit more than 6 million score I got Isreal fully, Russia almost full (just some bombers left) Italy fully and that with only premium time and no premium planes.

I’ve gotten one, of course I’ve never gotten a 30k RP air match without boosters. Max for air was 24k with ~7 frags using a premium rank 4 prop.
Max frags in any match was 26 for ground, which was my ~30k RP match.
If air is easier for you, that’s a skill matter as well.

Again, score is irrelevant. RP is all that matters, not score.

But thats the only way to compare air and ground imo. There is nothing else left that just my feeling
