All 3 British Phantoms could get Skyflash SuperTEMP. there is an accepted report for it from Flame.

Yep, though I still think there is an argument to be had that the FGR2 and FG1 don’t need to be identical and could have different weapons and different BRs

Maybe also giving the FGR2 9Ls for example

Sort of can of worms… I think you’d have US mains crying sooner rather than later “where is our 9L on F-4S/F-4J” or “where is our tech tree F-4S Late with 9J and 7M”

EDIT: If they wanted to give 9L to FGR.2, they would have already done that

We did get an answer to this, but it totally failed to acknowledge that

  1. we have 2 identical aircraft
    And
  2. We have notably weaker missiles already

SuperTEMPs would help somewhat. The lack of HMS on UK Phantoms is a plus for me since I’m not a fan of that mechanic

Yeah if it got 7Fs then I’m fine with the 12.0 BR. No clue if it could use them or not.

Would be bit more unique for them

This is where it just gets annoying.

Technical compatibility means there is no reason why the loadout on the F4J(UK) should differ at all from the F4J(US) as far as I am aware the RAF didnt modify them at all, they were just straight ex-USN aircraft that Britain purchased to pad out their number of F4s.

and even with the FGR2/FG1 with the different engines, whether compatibility changes is a debate to be had. So things like Aim-7F (or the accepted report for SuperTEMPs) and Napalm is just really really dumb.

As I said above (I’ll also say that I’m not sure again, memory is foggy), F-4J(UK)s were similar to F-4S but lacked the wing slats and HMS. And the different gunpod was used.
The rest should be identical to F-4S (even the jammers were included, those things on the upper corners of intakes)
