Why is F-5C at 11.0

Can you vhange the F-5C premium back to 10.3 or atleast give it better missiles

Just because, theres no logic and reason to find it

i was upset myself because of uptier. On paper it seems bad.

But

I tried few games last days and i get 2 kills on average with it. It is enjoyable.

i mention that it was my first top tier plane, i learn how to dogfight in it.

EVERYONE GOT MOVED UP

Going back to 10.3 would terrorize the same planes it did before and make it even MORE unbalanced. It already has flares it DID NOT HAVE IN REAL LIFE. It does not need fake missiles too. The F-5 was a gunfighter. Use it as such.

It’s fine at 11.0
You fight most of the things you used to before the big BR changes, except now you don’t see 9.3s which can’t do anything against you. Only full uptiers are a little rough but it still has the flight performance to manage just fine. It’s one of the more fair changes in this mess of a patch. Now you actually have to play around your strengths and weaknesses instead of auto winning every dogfight you get into by holding down S.

It’s not that bad… Everything got moved up… Like @SidewaysCube946 said…

What’s really annoying is it’s the same BR as the E and only .3 under the FCU…

Gaijoobles decompression (Read: compression in different places). I’m willing to bet it was some unpaid intern who has never played the game doing it.

Technically those rails supports multiple variants of Sidewinders, so adding Better ones will not make it fake.

Lol

It’s fine at 11.0. Most planes at 10.0 and above got moved up by one or even two BR steps.

The real question should be: Why are the F-5E and Chinese F-5A at 11.0 as well and not at 11.3 like originally planned by Gaijin.

If the FCU also being planned to be 11.3 was the reason, then why did it not move up to 11.7 instead?

That’s the same philosophy as the flares “it could so it should” makes no sense. All Magic launcher rails are backwards compatible with sidewinders. I’ll take 8 AIM-9Ms with a Mirage 4000. See? Accuracy unless it needs it for balance.

Well, on 11.0 also J-7E with way better missiles and FM nearly on level

Thats not the Philosophy we see in game tho? In game its “it could and therefore its possible to see in game”

Like Ariete with DM53, but not every Nato 120mm is seen with DM53

That’s a problem for the J-7E, not the F-5C. Yes, it needs to be moved up, not the other way around.

The J-7E has to go up, other planes shouldn’t go down because of a black sheep

The reason the F-5C has flares is because a later model was capable of mounting the flare pod, not the F-5C though.

Things like that are for the sake of balance. It would be totally unfair for a Mirage 3C to bring 9Ms into a 10.0 game but it could. That’s why the F-5C doesn’t need better missiles even though it could mount them.

Nah, the F-5C got flares because it’s a premium.
Later F-5 variants carrying flares has nothing to do with it.

Also, more importantly the current pods on the F-5A and C were modifications on export models. They were never used by the USAF

It was because F-5Cs in other countries could use the flares. But not US copies, so technically it was possible but the aircraft in game is a US model so it’s fictional.

Once again such topic is raised.
Can we just agree with the fact that the entire F5 and F8 family is undertiered before this patch?
Everything is moved up by one tier and that means F5C is only effectively raised by 0.3, that imho is very fair for it.

The F-5C is a modification of an F-5A

If an F-5A can, then the C can.

Which follows the “philosophy” We observe in game like with the Ariete. And yes it can be applied to more vehicles in game and it has
