You didn’t get my meaning. I don’t like that the 12.3 F-16A can face 11.3, but I am flying a F-4E for example, id rather face F-16A than any of the following:
F1C at 12.0
Mig21 bison at 12.3 (insane putting an r-73 + r-27r slinger at 12.3 on a fast platform with excellent avionics)
F-4S/J at 12.0
Mig23MLD/MLA at 11.7
M2000 s4 at 12.3
What I’m saying is that the F-16A doesn’t have much impact on a match, unless your team is completely blind and dies to a F-16A flying above them spamming aim9L’s.
The only thing the F-16A has going for it is the flight model and the gun, the only suitable playstyle is ratting above the enemy to launch aim9L from above at isolated targets that aren’t aware of you, if you attack a group of enemies you might get a few kills if they are blind but everyone else will be alerted of your presence and spam missiles at you. That’s too many variables, and you are relying on dumb enemies on top of that.
All the other jets I mentioned have at least 2 reliable missiles.
does not make sense to me, I play for wins and long term victories. Having “untouchable” jets on the enemy team I might not be able to deal with means that I can’t clutch out a game if my teammates die
Yes? F-16 not flown by forest gump will not be touched by any 11.3 save for maybe J-7E and that would require at least an equally skilled J-7E pilot. 11.7s can’t do anything to it either.
the f4j/s are fine until you get a rear aspect missile lanuched at you, mostly bc your flares fire in a dumb way (really, i have killed f4S with 9Ds bc they are unable to flare them without doign some werid shit)
No, i actually mean that the f4s is really almost unable to flare non irccm missiles, i have played with and against f4s/j a lot and i know that of the phantom is a s/j they wont flare my missile
If they don’t turn off their afterburner maybe.
anyway this is how the playerbase currently performs in the f4s and mig-23ml. I say it’s just a massive skill issue on US mains who buy into toptier but you can interpret the data however you like:
The f4j by the way, an objectively worse plane, performs significantly better at least in the kill ratios if not in winrate. British F4J however compares pretty closely to F4S kill ratios, but has a 4.5% higher winrate.
Meanwhile the british tech tree fgr sits at 0.81 kills per battle (0.8 for the fg.1), only surpassed by the EJ kai and F-4F KWS LV
ah yes, mig23 somehow being too powerful after the radar was toned down and the flight model kinda bleeds its speed, meanwhile the f4j having a functional radar and RWR .3 higher with the second best SARH ingame currently and with HMD lololol and you have the audacity to complain that its too weak, crying until you get another undertiered jet, like the block 10 f16a at 12.3 is somehow balanced because it was “suffering” or something idk, this is just unbelievable levels of cope

Yes, i’ve heard the auto-swapping on the radar is an issue, but other than that. Its hard to work out why the Mig-23MLD is 11.7 vs an aircraft like the F4J at 12.0. Even more crazy when you look at SB where the Mig-23MLD is 11.3 vs the F4J at 12.0.
F-4J (US) vs Mig-23MLD is a reasonably fair fight (F-4J(UK) vs Mig-23MLD is definetly a fair fight). Especially when the SPO-10/15 RWRs got a fake buff so that they can detect PD radar locks
