In the current compression, which F-16A sits 12.3 and F-15A sits 13.0
It is not enough to send F-4J down to 11.7.
Decompress and send F-4S up with few fancy upgrade fits better.
If not go to 11.7 at least maybe gaijin should give f-4j/s aim-9L so they have at least something

The F-4J without them, has a top speed/drag advantage. But yeah on average the slats might be more useful, although they only allow the F-4S to turn better at the cost of energy retention, but sustained turn rates are similar.

4x 9L will be a bit overkill
when F-104S.ASA(which is quite much overrated in f-ed up level, thanks to base bombing capability) has 4x 9L but flies way worse than F-4 series.

A-10A early is also 10.3 with AIM-9L, but it flies worse than Su-25.
If you get AIM-9L on a phantom, it is obvious that it will have higher BR.
If you think giving AIM-9L is no problem because ‘range difference between AIM-9L and R-60M is meaningless because they will flare it anyway’

Mig-23 MLD has a worse radar, worse radar missiles, and barely on-par IR missiles.
All aspect prior to IRCCM only matters against flareless targets.
