Ironic how the 2A7,B+,T90M when they get shot they can survive it and have a second chance, and how you ignore this fact and put the Abrams beside them while it doesn’t have any Armor at all with the recent nerf it got.
All this is totally irrelevant, what the Abrams need is a new hull armor with more KE protection to the hull and turret ring, hydraulic pump removed or shouldn’t fonction as horizontal, these bugs have been for years now and i bet it’s intended to keep the Abrams poor.
Low profile with armor and a great lineup, Russia still is better in every category than the US.
So you are just telling me you play around getting shot and expecting to live?
Abrams does not need this. They are already exceptional tanks. I could see SEP V3 being released in the near future with improved armor.
Abrams are not poor, and I doubt much of anything is intended if they consistently undertier them.
M1IP is an 11.7 at 11.3
M1A1 is a 12.0 at 11.7, yet stayed at 11.3 during BR changes for plenty of time while its equal the Leclerc went to 12.7.
M1A1 HC specs are 12.7s at 12.0.
Low profile with armor, and thats it. Low profile is also not a pro.
US has plenty of things it does better than RU lineup.
If that what you understood from what i said then i think you’re not really bright, are you?
A dumb opinion honestly, saying that a tank does not need armor then remove Relikt and added armor package from both the T90M and 2A7,B+ and let’s see how they perform.
Sorry, I thought players were right on expecting their armor profiles to work properly.
If it “doesn’t need” more armor as an arbitrary standard, any nation that uses autoloaders does not deserve further revisions on their reload times as long as the crew training system still works as of now.
A valid triangle for current balance is reload time/protection/ammo pen. If any autoloader gets quicker load times than expert/aced human loaders, you’re actively making loader-based tanks pay to progress, and stripping one of their last advantages as armor is “not needed”.
You kind of need to channel the same plan as that which was used for the M10, M18 or M36. Hell even the Booker at 10.7 has no downsides compared to the M1. You cannot rely on the armor of said tanks to do anything so best you can do is post up somewhere and shoot people there is no reason to even try to push objectives.
I kind of wish objective captures was included on the statcard so we could see how much of an objective matters to some of these high performance players, I have a feeling it would make a point of difference.
Based on what documents?
As far as I know SEP stands for “Same Exact Protection”. Don’t expect any improvement considering the M1A2T is a SEP v3 and it’s still using the Swedish Trial projections.
Abrams does not have the same playstyle as a Leo 2A7/122. Use your mobility, reload, and extra ammo and it is better.
T-90M is already the worst 12.7, no need to beat a dead horse. 2A7/122 currently have the advantage of being easier to play than Abrams, but with their armor removed, they would be more or so equal to 2A5/6, ie a worse vehicle than Abrams.
To rephrase, Abrams is better than 2A7/122 if you know how to play them, but they are otherwise sidegrades.
Better and more competitive tanks.
Better light tanks.
Better multi-vehicle SPAA.
Worse fixed-wing CAS.
Worse SACLOS SPAA.
Equal Heli.
Literally the stereotype. Stop expecting armor to work, because it doesn’t on every top tier tank. Don’t bank your life on your enemy being a vegetable.
Our autoloader reload times are pretty alright as of now, Type 90/10 don’t need 3.2s, Leclerc doesn’t need 6s, and T-80s are fine with their 6s. I guess AZ autoloaders can be uniformed to 6.66s.
I will agree crew skills are rather expensive for a large majority of the playerbase and straight up p2w with Ace, we need an overhaul for them.
Booker has significantly worse mobility than M1, as well as the “armor” being worse too. Now what I mean with this is not being lolpenned by autocannons. M1 turret ring, while remaining a weakspot, takes quite a few rounds to get through by most autocannons.
You play around caps, not on them. You kill the people trying to take the cap, and let a teammate cap it. If needed, you do it yourself.
I can let an Abrams nerd handle that, don’t have many documents on me tbh. But we do have confirmation that DU hull is on SEP V3.
M1A2T does not have DU armor IRL. This means its armor is more on par with either M1A1 AIM or M1A1 even, the former being more sensible.
So you can’t push if someone knows you are there? You must just give up and go back to the hangar. It’s not dissimilar as to why US props are undertiered, their strengths simply do not align with tactics used by the average player(or are facilitated by the Matchmaker). Thus they aren’t actually that good in the hands of the lower skilled.
Relying on the fact that your opponents are not aware when LRFs, and Thermals and scout drones have propagated is fairly risky, and unreliable assuming your opponent has some basic level of competency.
So it’s on par with the T series? What is the felt impact of this difference. Without quantifying it there is little point to making obvious statements.
There is a vast difference between belt composition and RPM and their effect on the Turret basket, between some autocannons. I’ve very rarely been able to respond to an APDS belt equipt 2A42, but a default belt equipt M242 is no issue since it’s only got an effective RPM of 100 (1:1 HE, APDS), and does less spalling.
And when your entire team does the same; you do see the issue, no?
So gaijin does nothing, without either a value relative to another Array, that has been defined. Or hard numbers nothing happens. “Improved” is not enough for Gain to do anything.
DU is not strictly better than Titanium or Tungsten alloys, it’s that its a waste product that has similar performance and is effectively free due to the existing production infrastructure of enriched uranium that the US has access to.
Smoke + squad marker, repositioning, sidescraping, etc.
Quite a bit of a felt difference. Being down more than 7 hp/t (vs M1) is a significant disadvantage. I don’t have it spaded so I can’t test it, but here’s a reference sheet:
Spoiler
Tbh I felt the opposite. It always feels like you have a decent chunk of reaction time if you’re not caught completely off guard to where your turret won’t rotate in time for example.
The thing is, the entire team will never do that. There is always at least 3 guys who go for caps out of 16, and if you don’t have any of those near you, might as well cap yourself.
We shall see.
It means more of the DU armor package that is often referenced. The M1A2T does not have said package, so its really not a SEP V3 is it.
You can use a variety of other tactics such as ESS baiting, baiting by firing your gun, asking a teammate in chat to shoot you and then reverse acting like you were shot, etc.
Or literally just giving him more room to push you, he may think he has control, but it is you who has that.
The only reason you made that shot is that they missed. Also to make best use of the smoke you need to wait for slightly longer to let the cloud properly occlude the tank before moving because you give away your intent to counter-peak by moving out early.
And it’s a Mobile Gun System (a Wheeled Light tank) stationary in the middle of the open with no cover, and had just fired. its not a threat at all.
If it was a T Series, in cover. it’d be far more likely that such an unaimed shot would be eaten by armor, or hit impenetrable scenery. And even if it wasn’t, since they get access to their Dozer blade, they could make their own concealment frustrating aiming for their LFP, due to the change in height and angle being unknown since it’s such are rarely used feature. (if more than just the M1A1HC had the option I’d take it solely for the added flexibility or fortifying a position with an on demand berm).
Thermals exist and hard counter ESS, and since it’s not available stock isn’t always an option.
The fook? People actually use this? woow…so you go around the map and play Bob the builder simulator? You dug your fancy nice hole and got shot in the drivers port, whats the point of the hole?
I pushed because they fired. I would have waited for the smoke to sit properly before pushing if he didn’t.
Aim better then. You can literally pinpoint where you need to shoot with the squad marker, and it is as simple as hitting exactly where you pointed it at.
In my 19000 games of GRB I have never seen a single person use the dozer blade to conceal their LFP. Driver port also works if this mythical scenario happens.
And that tells me you don’t know how to use it. Stock vehicle is a terrible excuse as well.
Wasnt the SEP v3 the only one that got that 10 tons upgrade with revised hull armor protection? The rest afaik stayed pretty much the same in the hull protection area?
