The corporate response from the community is that NATO hulls were mostly built minding chemical-based protection.
In reality, it’s a comfortable lie to excuse the current asymmetrical balancing and classified documents that excuses Gaijin from modelling vehicles properly, including the Abrams.
The difference in weight between the M1 Abrams and the M1A2 SEP is almost 10 tons, yet none of that weight went to hull protection under Gaijin’s logic, just turret cheek protection. And even then, it’s somewhat unreliable.
Make it make sense. In the end, it clearly doesn’t.

Yea, thats an inherant issue with how HE and APHE is modelled in game.
Every vehicle can be cheesed from it
My guess with this issue is that the wedge connection to the hull roof plate is working as a armor hole of some sort:
I’m saying “of some sort” because at the same time it’s unintentional it’s also a consequence of how the model was handled during the development. This specific spot between the 15in hull roof plate and 7,4in of the composite section cap is the issue of this problem with the Abrams’ hull, reason why a T-34-85 can pierce and deal heavy damage, although I never seen someone exploit this issue.

Then I suppose the F-15C GE is an awesome plane because skilled players used it and managed to peform within its first month.
Spoiler alert: People used it from November to December, and most of its good stats from skilled players rushing it also stayed. Under this new logic that brit mains are implying quite frequently since the M1A2T came out… are US air players becoming good at the game?

Not against the Gripen E or 14.7s. The Golden Eagle is a missile bus, but lacks acceleration and base energy retention to even compare it to 14.7s.
Again, minor nation bias doing its work, combined with a vehicle that is nowhere near as hopeless to be seen as a merit of having a better K/D.
Nah. I’ve seen both you and Morvran repeating the Abrams stats way more often than mains from other nations. Nothing wrong with the argument at all, you have the right to believe in its inner logic, but also acknowledge that once you dust the argument off, it has visible flaws and counterarguments. It’s not a huge snap.
