Why do so many people hate SPAAG

It is though-

just the opposite. skill issue is complaints about “weak” spaag. developer has given you EVERYTHING to make a lot of kills, both ground and air, while picking your nose.

since when did the number of opinions matter?

because they dont know how to play?..

To a point, but it has to reload after 4 shots. Unlike the Duster or Ostwinds that can fire constantly until they overheat. That dramatically lengthens the ammount of time bletween that one set of APHE in a 3/1 belt. As it stand right now you could get 4 sperate kills with one 4 shot cycle with full APHE belts.

Sweden from 2.3 to 7.7 would very vehemently disagree.

Ok.

Let me rephrase

What exactly makes SPAAG so strong? What SPAAG? What makes it that much better than everything else that it needs a massive nerf?

Since the person saying “SPAAG is too strong” barely even plays it, and is also completely on his own here

*technically eight, but I digress

Reload is pretty short anyways, not much of a hinderance. Anyways, even IRL the ZSU was far more effective against ground then air lol

I don’t get this attitude towards ‘paper tanks’ it’s 99% of an existing tank, it’s not as if it’s some completely impossible design that would have never been produced, the Ostwind ll is far more realistic to see combat than a plethora of prototype vehicles we have in the game that never made it into production for a variety of reasons.

If there were more paper tanks added though to appease those who think only Germany has them, then maybe that’d change some attitudes.

One thing I am going to do is download some custom sights from Warthunder live and try them on some of the SPAAs. I would ask you or some others do the same to see if there is a decent difference to them.

I haven’t played non-radar guided gun SPAA in a while, so it should be quite apparent if they work on my end. But having the opinion of someone who plays them more often would be nice too.

If you’re referring to the spiderwebs, it absolutely won’t be the same…

There’s a reason duck shooters don’t use scopes.

Think other nations benefit more than Germany from generous implementation of vehicles that never have or never would have seen combat, vehicles that would fall apart, have major flaws and issues or like a T95 that is like the American Maus that received a major buff to it’s traverse speed in order to make it even work in the game as I do not believe it was even capable of neutral steering , which is taking more creative liberty than a Ostwind 2, Panther ll, Flakpanzer of Tiger ll 105.

Meanwhile the Maus is struggling it gets deleted, the T95 is struggling and it gets major buffs to make it viable.

I had that pack but removed it because of the extra loading time. It had explainations on how to properly use them and gauge range and speed.

Yes that is the style of sight I am talking about. I’ll find it tonight and show some pics of it.

Scopes or not, the sight used for SPAA does nothing for SPAA. An implementation where it wasn’t a scoped view with a ww2 era spiderweb sight would be better than the current sighr designed for tank use.

The usage of a sight mod, to make the sight in the scope be spiderwebbed isn’t the same as genuinely using the true spiderweb.

Your angle of view is changed and when in the scope you are magnified. It changes everything to the point that it’s not comparable.

I will when I get home from work unless I gwt a chance to find it sooner.

Toss the link over to me too, I want to see how it works with the swede 40mils.

I understand that, but it would be better than the current sight. That is all I’m getting after here.

Yes, but it’s a false equivalence… We NEED the actual open sights…

I agree, but I think small changes are more likely to be implemented, and adding a generic sight xould be a good start.

It’d be more likely looked at as though that’ll suffice, and that players can do this sort of thing, and feel like they have the same outcome.
