Tank only would suck because no one would play it, and because CAS has strategic value.
I want CAS to be rebalanced. It should cost more, or be more difficult to use. SPAA also needs to be buffed by increasing the rewards, and moving it down in BR. All nations also need more SPAA.

Have you never used APDS in your life? A heavy tank with nuke APHE is a far bigger threat than a slow light tank that reliably nonpens a Tiger 1 at 45 degree angle. Even if it does pen, its damage is pityful asf.

That’s what we call a skill issue bud. It was nice of you to outline it for us lol. If you can’t make a 300mm APDS pen, that’s a you problem. It’s not APCR, it has way better penetration angles. Not that’s it’s hard to make APCR pen either, just aim for the right stuff.
I will note I don’t play those low BR’s anymore but it really wasn’t a big deal when I did once I learned the game.

I watched it sail right through the front of my Jagdtiger from a considerable distance.Made the 200 mm of armour redundant that is for sure and in WW2 nearly nothing should do that. IS came in at 203mm pen or something at that time so tell me again about those impenetrable WW2 tanks that only CAS can kill in this game.

We are, you’re complaining about TO people, and then outlining why you have problems with a round that’s the best in class armor penetrator at its BR. I’m not really sure what to tell you. Hit the turret, hit the breech, ammo rack it. Idk how to have anymore of a serious conversation other than to say “shoot the right stuff” the round is certainly not the problem.

Lol so no. You have 0 idea how inconsistant APDS is against anything that isn’t a perfectly flat plate. Please tell me, where do I find 300mm pen APDS on the Jumbo, M26, M4/T26, T32, T26E5, T26E1, T34, M50, M36, M18, T32E1, M109, M4A3/A2 76, or T95? Am I supposed to just not play any of those and just exlusively play M41A1 and M56?
Honest question, are you new to the game? You were talking about APDS I talked about APDS. Now you’re changing it to a different discussion. I never said those tanks have it. And to be clear, the jumbos are the absolute SHIT! APCR is good enough for frontal on most occasions to disable breech and APHE to the side is enough to kill most as well. The U.S. DOMINATES at that BR dude. We have a GREAT LINEUP.
T34 has a freakin 1hit cannon on it with incredible armor. Same with a few of the other ones listed.
To close it all off, not that it’s relevant to this thread. Just because you’re in a tank doesn’t mean you’re able to fight every tank, nor should you. Knock a jags barrel out and move on. Leave it for someone else, ping it and put it in chat. You’re not meant to take on every tank with any tank you’re in. That should be pretty clear.

So what do you do when you have no SP for CAS or have used your CAS or nobody spawned CAS in the game? Lucky you have team mates who can actually play and deal with the situation.
