Yes it does because you made faulty comparison. You cannot compare the worst case scenario in tank vs plane and the best case scenario in tank vs tank. Either both need to be the best case or the worst case because you are comparing chances between assets.

JagdTiger is ideal target for a plane, slow and big. On a note side you picked heavily armored casemate TD vs tanks. Following your logic the same comparison would be T95 vs Pz IVs/Tiger E.
saying a tank v.s tank battle is even possible to compare to a tank v.s plane battle is dumb af.
You pretty much always have a chance to shoot down a plane as long as there’s something like a rock to prop up the front of your tank. You don’t have a chance to kill a Jagdtiger frontally in a Jumbo.
Besides, there’s no reason for a blatantly OP tank destroyer to go on CAS killsteaks. That’s why SPAA exists.

Well by that logic, let’s put the A-4E at 7.7. It’s still POSSIBLE for 6.7s to shoot it down, much like it’s POSSIBLE for a Jumbo to destroy the barrel and tracks of a Jagdtiger and wait for your teammates to kill it.

You understand that B.R. are decided based on many factors not only that there is one vechicle which might have a problem with frontally destroying Jagdtiger at full uptier?
You get that there is even a 4.0 vechicle that can destroy it from any distance (or there are even lower, I don’t remember all vechicles from the game)?
Jagdtiger has gun of 4.3 tank destroyer and without its armor it would be at 4.3. His armor allows him to sometimes be able to defend against enemies frontally. If You could just destroy him with a Jumbo 75 then there would be really no point in using it.
You don’t have to rely on teammates to destroy it.

Oh yes, Sweden gets all the uptier immunity toys (even CCRP at 4.3). Meanwhile America has 1-2 br out-of-date guns and armor in exchange for turret rotation and a .50cal, and OCCASIONALLY some mobility. Ofc you don’t care that there’s nearly a dozen American tanks that can do nothing but sit back and wait for someone else to deal with Jagdtiger because “mEH ThEY’RE LOwEr BR”
This get’s really bad at the 6.7-7.7 area where everyone else starts getting HEAT-FS, and America is still left with either 150-250mm pen APHE, British grade APDS, or a 200mm pen mockery of a HEATFS.
I’m sorry but the only vehicle America has that can reliable deal with IS series tanks or German TDs being a turretless armorless goblin (M56) isn’t exactaly ideal in a game where the goal is to capture and defend certain points.
The T32 and T26E5 are great, but you NEED something like an M56 to back up any assault when a Jagdtiger rolls on to the battlefield. Meanwhile the Jagdtiger can take out any tank it faces from America with no support needed ever.
TL:DR America being behind in firepower means CAS is NEEDED to stay even semi-competitive.

You can’t turn Your tank into SPAA/Air, but You can always use Your tank well in order to deal with other tanks.
