I’m trying to understand why the addition of a ground only game mode would be bad for everyone.

This will also help to see the point’s you guy’s make aswell.
A simple bullet point list from both side’s would be nice.

It’s not that it’s bad, it’s that these guys don’t actually accept any discussion other than to throw out attacks and ignorance, and feed the victimhood to ignore the SPAA even being there so less peopel use it…

No, because due to the posters idiocy, it’s become JUST about the attacks and ridicule…
They dogpile like a pack, and ignore anything put forth to them.
Of course, I will try to make it as easy to understand as it can be, feel free to ask for clarification.
- With the addition of TO mode, no more unnecessary (my phone doesn’t like me writing in english) nerfs would be made to the air in order to balance things out - it means that people who enjoy current state of things won’t be affected by it.
- With the addition of TO mode, people who just like playing grounds units will have a place to play, thus more people happy about the game.
- With the addition of TO mode, teams in mixed mode are going to be more balanced as all people taking part in the game are going to be focused on combined part of it, not only one aspect (like ground).
- With the addition of TO mode, the gameplay could be expand in order to empashise on the combined aspect of it, while at the moment it has to still focus on the ground aspect
- More focused grind of ground vehicles as there is air RB mode if one wants to grind planes outside of ground RB yet thgere is no mode to grind ground vehicles outside ground RB (@AlanHR)
Just some simple points. I belive I have already made a couple of posts showcasing benefits of having such mode.

I’ve been statchecked to all hell, they’ve put forth the statshaming, they’ve made insinuations of mental issues, and constantly back-and-forthing with no genuine want to discuss or take on the points made just to keep making gates to keep peopel from being involved, making it clear the discussion was never here…
bullet points ain’t going to do anything because that topic isn’t for here… this is about why people are so ‘vocally against’ this being a thing…
And to me, it’s straight up thier attitude and the villainization of anyone who opposes or even SEEMS to oppose it…
Do you not think that Eddies comment earlier was well out of line? Because that’s a common one from them towards me…
I won’t be letting it slide and I’m expecting a proper statement from mods as to the insuitability of that comment for anywhere…

Being exhausted after works makes me forget even the most important things.
What exactly was he supposed to do against me? Even without an RWR I can simply SEE his missiles coming towards me, and they’re not hard to dodge even in a non-afterburning, subsonic plane.
Uh huh.
And above you can see those “methods” completely fail to keep players safe. I could easily dodge SAMs fired against me. I could easily dodge most gun SPAA provided they aren’t equipped with tracerless airburst munitions that no other SPAA at their BR gets (PGZ09).
And in that game in the Alpha Jet TH, I not only bombed tanks that were stationary and ‘hard’ to see (they still stand out as much as any other tank), but I also used its missiles to shoot down an enemy F-104 that came to intercept me.
Thus, the enemy team had NO COUNTERPLAY AVAILABLE to save themselves from getting CCIP bombed and strafed.
It’s identical in functionality to a CAS plane. It will probably kill you and there’s nothing you can do about it unless you get in a very specific vehicle that can’t do much else.
Oh so the ONLY argument against a tank-only mode is that… it isn’t here already? Well you shoulda said so from the start!

Yes, IF. There’s plenty of matches where you’ll be sitting there, for the entire duration of that game, looking at the skies. Waiting for a plane to spawn, only for none to show up.
Yet CAS can always find a target, therefore it is unbalanced.
-Many players do not want to have to stop playing tanks to spawn SPAA to counter aircraft, which has extremely adverse consequences to RP earnings;
-Many players do not enjoy being bombed/strafed/rocketed by an enemy they had no chance to fight against;
-CAS is inherently unbalanced by always having targets available to it (the opposite is not true), and especially at high tier only being counterable by other aircraft, which players may not be interested in playing or even grinding;
-Air has no less than 3 modes with no player-controlled ground units, and namely in Air RB the only time you will even be affected by said ground units is at the big airfield;
-Tank-only would take nothing away from current Combined Battles, it would still be available to everyone who likes it.

That’s why I’m trying to simplify the points out now, So that both side’s can’t get out of line from here on out with the dog piling and attacking of both sides.
If anything, please make the list so there’s something to focus on for both sides besides eachother.

I’ve said that so many times that it’s actually concerning that people think they need to change the game to function where others actually do…
What list, because that’s not what the topic was ever about…
Please specify your list of point’s and reasoning on to why a TO game mode shouldn’t come and why the normal ground mode shouldn’t be changed. That’s mainly what the others are against.
Topic or not this is what the discussions about now. (at least for the last thousand or so replies)

It’s not about that…
It’s distinctly regarding the reasons why people are so vocally against adding what they demand, and for me it’s because they’re demanding it for them, gatekeeping to avoid having any counter and mocking just to be asshats about everything…
Which leads to the confidence Eddie shows in his throwout personal attack, and those who would be chortling about how that got someone they oppose.
The fact you’re trying to make it about the reasons on why the mode can’t be added, is a side issue which has nothing to do with the basis of the first post.
It was beyond that when I put my hand out you months ago but you can’t change your spots mate can you. Being damaged goods mentally might be the flavour of the woke month but it makes for a poor forum discussion when all you can to is direct the road to you personally.
Let us get this right.ULQ like myself has stated that above all a no CAS GRB is a great place to be. That is positive. It means that current CAS does not need to be attacked/nerfed,Good for flyers and supporters of the combine arms game.
It gives those who like tanks only a home free of attack from the air while taking nothing and adding plenty.
I don’t see how you can get your knickers in such a personal twist over that.
You are standing in the way of pure positivity and an answer to a major War Thunder issue.
