I want to play a bloody tank, how hard is that to understand? Who exactly gets hurt when a simple tanks only mode is added and GRB remains mixed so CAS and SPAA players can have their fun? I agree that playing CAS vs AI doesn’t give the same kick but that doesn’t mean that we can’t have a seperate way to enjoy the game for Tankers.
@CAS_TAKES_SKILL your not going to win man. I started watching peoples matches who are on this thread and most of the time they died to CAS 3 times out of 10 games or even 4 times in 15 matches. Which is 10 to 20% of the time dying to CAS. They complaining about the small % they died to CAS while forgetting they had good matches or died to only tanks. Let alone seeing them use SPAA/SAM and staying in spawn the entire match not killing anything or shooting tanks with it. There will be unlucky moments, but majority of the time its % to CAS death is very small. Most stayed to the end of the match as well.
I even improved on my K/D with SPAA when they said K/D matters and they still don’t care bro. Improved my SPAA skills and knowledge, tried sharing it here and still don’t want to learn. You will find players with very bad K/D on M247 when its one of the best US SPAA vehicles out there. Crazy man. They desperate for a TO mode.
Why arguing about a decision that doesn’t affect you? People who consent to CAS can still be your victim, judging by the comments here there are a lot of people that don’t mind it.
when drones were added gaijin said something along the lines of how they are a crucial part of warfare and wont be removed. if they aren’t going to remove drones, lets put our thinking caps on for about 3 seconds and realize that if drones aren’t going anywhere, neither are planes
all i think it needs is: bigger airspace, push airfields further back and make aircraft spawn on the airfield
also add better spaa and then see if it needs further changes
We should get it though, even if they make it a premium feature that allows paid players to opt out of CAS degeneracy like night maps or ban maps would be better than nothing.
Yes, because if I’m in a tank, I can just shoot another tank. If I die, it’s probably my fault.
Vs if I get bombed - there is no counterplay possible aside from J-ing out before the bomb explodes and spawning an SPAA. In both of these situations, I have stopped doing what I came into this mode to do (play tanks)
Airspace increase at top tier so using long range ARH missiles doesn’t mean you gotta do circles at A1 to be outside Pantsir range
The playerbase split issue is something many here rely on to explain away the true objections.
The fact is it’s part of the game, and it always has been, as long as the ‘problem’ has been exagerated and fixated on…
If those who had issue actually did get good and stop avoiding CAS and even trying to cope with CAS, as much as they did posting in this thread about how bad people are for choosing CAS, or accepting CAS, then maybe they’d have a better mindset.
But they don’t because stupid things get entertained in threads like these, villains are made, dogpiling occurs because ‘we’ have issue with what you said, and in the end people give up bothering to argue because no matter the argument the TO advocates will pull out yet another anecdotal ‘reason’ why they’re failing.
And that is the true issue with this… I had no issue with people having the point made, it just came back to the instant ‘You’re bad’ ‘You’re skillless’ ‘You just hate people’ mentatlity that comes from being opposing to anything the afflicted has to put out.
I don’t deserve to be hated on or berated into submission just because I object to dumbing down the game because a vocal minority have trouble with a portion of the game.
Let us play the more than 10 years old gamemode because “reasons”. You are not allowed to want something different that would benefit everyone!
Gaijin should just nerf/buff things and change others in a way that no one asked for, so we can stay in this “bubble” where only certain kind of gameplay is somehow entertaining and doesn’t put You at constant disadvantage without You being able to do something about it.
We can’t have another mode/modes or any kind of other things because why should Gaijin focus on the gameplay instead of another premium vehicles/features? I prefer to have an RTX option on small map, not the map that is actually balanced and suited for different tactics.
Remember, just because You can do even much better in an aircraft You are talking about, or You are just able to take it out without any issue, doesn’t mean that You don’t have skill issue because You have a problem with dying to aircrafts when You are in a unit that can’t fight back against the air.
Don’t forget that this game is a “team” game so that is a team issue (that You can’t do anything about as You are put in a random team) that in Your team there is no one dedicated to fighting air!
If only the claim of “it would benefit everyone” held up under even slight scrutiny it would be a much better argument and significantly less opposition.
Sadly, we’ve yet to figure out a way to do that, hence the current quandary and lack of traction.
Oh, I have already explained it countless of times, sadly with the flock of people crying about the same things over and over again of how TO would “destroy” the game, it gets hidden.
At the moment the only place where tankers can use their tanks is Ground (AB/RB/SB) mode. In the same mode Air units (aircrafts/helis/drones) can be spawned (outside of drones, both aircrafts and helis can be used in different gamemodes). So currently the “combined” mode (as I will be naming ground mode) consists of three types of people:
People wanting to play only ground units that are not interested in air units.
People who want to play both ground and air units.
People who want to use only air units.
And Gaijin has to make the gamemode playable for all this people, meaning that we are constantly (since the air was put in ground battles) getting nerfs/buffs that are not solving any issue and are only making both sides unhappy:
First people who want to play just ground still doesn’t get what they want.
People who want to enjoy air are getting their game changed (not always in a way that they like).
With the introduction of TO mode, there would be no issue with people who just want to play ground units, meaning the “combined” mode could truely become combined without any need for unnecessary nerfs/buffs or changes that don’t solve anything.
Why this changes/nerfs/buffs won’t solve a thing? Even if You provide ground users with more SPAA options? Because they have a problem not in a moment when they are in an SPAA/Plane, but rather in a tank that doesn’t have a chance of fighting back.
So Gaijin could focus more of the core aspect of the game (combined mode) rather than trying to solve the issue that can’t be really solved.
