not to mention cas and air attacks were very inaccurate until the end of the Vietnam war
so it was mostly carpet bombing and machine cannon harassment that was the main game
even bombing bridges took forever

We have, In fact I have personally and they did and everybody whined like hell.I also suggested a no fly Friday or a month of no CAS in January to commemorate The battle of the Bulge.Don’t imagine we are a million miles apart here and dont be offended by any of this shit, its just a discussion and wishful thinking probably but its a passionate section of the fan base wanting TO. War Thunder reps have said they are no plans for TO so you are not 100% wrong are you? I’ll tell the truth as I see it.

Honestly I think you should strongly consider organizing the Anti-CAS/TO crowd into a series of custom lobbies. At the very least it will help you scratch the apparent itch, and if it proves popular it might help your case. Gaijin is used to ignoring anti-CAS/TO posters on the forums, steam comments, and everywhere else, and I understand getting bitter over being ignored, but instead of letting that feeling fester into a hatred of people who play CAS invest that energy in a robust custom lobby community.
Think about it like this. That poll people were talking about had like 60% of 800 voters or something right? That’s about 500 people give or take. If you organized into a sub-community with dedicated custom lobbies and demonstrated to Gaijin over an enduring period of time that there is a playerbase for this gamemode and their existence does not noticeably detract from normal GRB, you would be a hell of a lot harder to ignore.

CAS can guide it’s munitions on top of your head. There’s not perfect cover in this game since if one tank can shoot at an enemy tank, enemy tank can fire back.
When you’re getting spawn camped by CAS, there’s no fighting back, unless you’re amazing at sniping aircraft from multiple kilometers away. Ground vehicles can also get spotted so their exact location is known for a period of time.
You also forgot helicopters are a thing and they can easily camp behind a hill and drop down few meters to solid cover if any danger arises. CAS can also relocate much faster and easier.

I am a big supporter of sticking it out and getting kills when spawn camped and especially spawn rushed where enemy goons run in like lemmings while you are invulnerable. It’s not any sense of fair play but easy kills last minute and I always keep a heavy in reserve if I can. With CAS it’s game over and time to go like you say. Be as positive as you like the reality is that.No comeback, not like you even have time for one anyway once the caps are taken. CAS kills the game in many ways.

God i loved the heavy fog, sad we dont see that anymore…even when I flew, it made me work for them ground kills which was great. I really want more extreme weather conditions for ground and air. Not just clear clean sky. For one, that sandstorm from Mad Thunder event, perfect to add it into normal desert maps.

You’re assuming a lot there, merely for someone disagreeing with you, but also for just getting you, or being the threat you despise.
Not true for ammunitions. CAS has much wider ordnance spectrum than tank ammo.
Not true for camping also. CAS has a camping spot which is called altitude. Especially on high tiers where it can go above SPAA range.
