Why do CAS players so vocally oppose any suggestions

if only rewards were better for kill ground targets and the ground targets werent in the middle of the map where there are going a massive furball then maybe people who like playing CAS would play ARB but right now you wont even get to the ground targets and if you do its not worth the time you wasted.

and no offense a bit rude to sit there say people are whining (when you yourself are) and then when people give a valid argument tell them to stop playing because they arent wanted, the mode is meant to be combined arms thats the whole point, it always has been and always will be

When did ground battles not have planes ?

I don’t think RBGF was ever without planes but SBGF was without planes for a couple of months due to some plane cockpit issues,

Still all this wouldn’t change anything as long as TO is not added

Brotha, no1 is saying that. We’re saying stay near your teammates. You’re just trying to twist actual arguments into something else cause you don’t wanna actually solve the problem yourself.

You cannot seriously be complaining about Bofors and 3.7cm flak. They can shred nearly EVERYTHING at their BR, with the only exception ironically being Russian and German heavies.

You mean Gepard which had its APDS belt limited for realism and balance?

Then just use IFVs if they’re better. No need to complain about SPAA

That is seriously just skill issue.

Agreed, most SPAA players are low skill because newer players don’t get the spawn points for actual tanks or planes.

SPAA is already braindead enough to play, we don’t needa handhold SPAA noobs even more.

That would be unrealistic and make no sense.

90% of the “artificial limits” are real world limits, e.g Gepard or M247.

Belt nerfs are done for balance. While some tanks (e.g AMX-13 DCA 40) could definetly use a belt buff, Wirbelwind and Kugelblitz especially DO NOT need buffs.

No. If anything, SPAAs like Wirbelwind, Ostwind 2, Btr 152, and Panstir should be moved up

5.7 at lowest.

SPAAs aren’t supposed to be super effective. They sucked IRL, and the only reason Germany used them was bc they didn’t have air superiority.

They never were worthless, you just simply needa get good.

At 7.0 it is a terrible SPAA when just .3 br higher you can get an M163 or Shilka. The Praga truck at a lower BR has more HVAP pen and better belts.

Delusional

This is a game where balance should be strived for.

You keep pushing this lie. But they’re they most dangerous things to planes and always have been 🤣

Leading a target that is evading you at 400 km/h is, in fact, harder than dropping a 1000 lbs bomb withing 30m of an open top vehicle.

And it’s ignoring that even in the 40’s ground based AA had fire directors and lead computing/reflex AA sights that were specifically built to assist in targeting fast moving aircraft.

But in WT, that’s reserved for aircraft 🙄

Ye shilka is absolute BS how low it is aswell.

if SPAA was better at taking down planes than planes are at taking out SPAA, or better than planes are at taking out other planes, then it would need to be atleast as expensive as a plane itself.

SPAA being a cheaper but less effective option IS game balance.

XD how is getting bombed a common enough occurance for you that you’d even think it could be a valid argument?

Play anything against the american corsair spam.

You may be driving at top speed (28 km/h!), get a 1 ton bomb dropped near you while driving and you die before you can get away. Or maybe you survive, but your barrel and tracks are gone so you’re a sitting duck repairing for 40-50 seconds.

hasn’t happened. I’ve been playin tons of 5.0 Germany, 4.0 Italy, and 5.7 France recently, and I was honestly surprised how little American CAS there its. Germany/Russia typically spawn as many, if not more.

ofc, BR and player skill matter more than nation regardless.

here you go

congrats, a Bf 109 dropped a bomb between 3 guys and killed em.

That’s a Corsair, which came back for revenge after we took the C point.

I know it’s a Corsair, I also know what plane it is doesn’t matter. Bf 109 or Corsair, it would yield the exact same result.

A 109 would have a 50% chance of missing since only one of that corsair’s 1000lb bombs actually got near us, on top of much lower kill radius.

That’s not how probability works. You thinking CAS is always left up to a coin flip explains alot about your arguments.

It’s a million times easier to land killshots with the 500 kg bomb over the 250 kg one.
