Why isn’t there a ground only game mode? I’m sick of getting a bomb dropped on my head with no way to counter. People seem to get into planes so fast sometimes, just a couple minutes ago I had just gotten to a position in my first life, and had a P-47 drop a 500lb bomb on me. I didn’t even get to do anything. What am I supposed to do? It had been like 3-4 minutes into the game. Not to mention things like the Yak-9K/UT, absolutely outrageous. I just want tank on tank combat, with the best ground players coming out on top, is that too much to ask for? Instead if I, or anyone else, gets a key position to winning a game or that we excel in, some dude with one kill can drop a bomb on that position and ruin the whole thing.

This topic comes up at least once week. Whatever country you are playing does have SPAA or aircraft available to counter. Just have to want to play them once in awhile to help the team.

I understand that argument of “Play SPAA so you can shoot down planes” but I don’t agree with it. Given that it’s ground battles, I shouldn’t have to waste my time playing something meant to counter AIR vehicles in, again, a game mode meant for ground vehicles. I just want to drive tanks to the battle, battle other tanks, and either win or lose those engagements, not have a plane, which I can’t fight while driving, say my Centurion AVRE, come and bomb/strafe me while I’m trying to fight other tanks. I’m not saying mixed battles should be removed, I just want to fight tanks in my tanks. Also if there is going to be planes and tanks in the same game mode, why not have ships as well?

The US was my main nation I played, but I wanted to change things up. Even with the .50 cals on the roof of virtually every tank in that tree, trying to fight tanks and planes at the same time is a little outside my wheel house.
Ground is combined arms and it’s what makes the game interesting. I don’t really have a problem with the ground and air portion, and .50s on the roof are pretty effective against aircraft at low to mid tier BRs.
Even in my Waffentrager which open top, I have over 50 kills against CAS. Just need to adapt and overcome!

Again, I don’t want to replace the current mixed battles with a ground only, I just want a separate ground only game mode. I have 2 air kills with the M56 Scorpion, but I have countless more deaths due to air. I just want tank on tank combat, that’s all. It’s extremely annoying when I’m trying to fight a tank and a plane tosses a bomb onto me. I get that I can use .50 cals, anti air, or planes, but that’s not why I’m playing ground battles. I don’t play ground battles to shoot down planes while I try to fight tanks. I don’t grind out ground vehicle trees just to play anti air to counter planes.

Play 8.0-10.7, ww2 is an airshow every match and 12.0 is when CAS starts getting insane again and spaa cant really do much.

I will agree, when I play my 8.0 or 8.3 US line up, CAS is not nearly as cancerous as it is anywhere higher or lower. However, I’m currently trying to grind Britain and it’s just one game after another where I find myself getting strafed or bombed. I just bought the Centurion AVRE to grind out the tree a little bit, so I don’t have anything else to run currently.

Or become a free food for enemy tanks and start draining the team’s tickets, and feed the enemy team’s more sp so they can spawn more planes.

8.0 to 8.7 there a ton of very effective SPAAs both for ground and air. Gaypards, Falcon, XM286, ZA-35, PGZ09, WZ350, AMX-30 S DCA, etc, etc…
They’re all used as TD’s XD

Yes, those are the only br has decent SPAAs, especially the M247 and PGZ09, the br where OP is currently playing are mostly dogwater trashes SPAA that could barely handle one plane and can’t stop enemy CAS from dropping bombs on teammates due to the lack of weapon range. 10.0 - 11.0 is actually quite alright with Strelas and Osa around, LAV-AD, Stormer AD and 2s6 can handle floor huggers. We’ll see how it goes with the top tier when the update drops lol

true, same pattern as in you say anything about the same thread being repeated with the same tired conversations and you get labeled a CAS main despite zero evidence for that statement :)
You know how silly it is that you made this? When the exact same thing can be made for ppl making these threads?
If you actually bothered to look at my stats, you’d have found out I don’t match anything on that “bingo sheet”.
What’s wrong with being a CAS main? should be proud being called a CAS mains because they are first class citizen, regarded as a more important player group.
