The reason gaijin choose new players is old so-called/self-proclaimed vets don’t set more foods on the table than the newcomers bro, no boss is stupid enough to turn away from making more money, and being an oldtimer or staying longer doesn’t mean you contribute to their company growth. That’s what the company sees anyways to make such a decision.
Some idiot here asked me to go play arcade or wot since I mentioned I enjoyed cqc, as if his preferred playstyle > players that enjoyed cqc, such entitled mentality lol
Well since modern tanks are all about range and optics when it comes to tank vs tank battles, it’s not out of touch to suggest somebody to not play Realistic battles if they prefer that.
That is if the mode was tailored to realistic experience in the first place, which in this case - gamemode is very far apart from that.
I fully agree - also jungle had too spots in the south western part of the map which both can’t shoot into enemy spawn and on both you can be killed so they were not op. But now these spots are blocked as described by huge rocks. normandy map has been changed in a way that’s quite a new map - in the western part - but shooting into spawn is still possible…
Yea, but lets take 38th. Where they said: “38th Parallel suffered from asymmetry — one side of the map had very powerful positions to shoot from, whereas the other side did not. Both sides of this map will now have equal positions.”
And in an earlier statement they said they wanted to keep the gameplay but make it fairer for both sides
So what did they do? Completely remove the old gameplay of C cap and make it a maze to get to the Cap where you fight at less than 100m.
Sure if you classify “no positions” as “equal positions” they did not lie. But no position is no position. Nothingness can not be equalised. You can not compare nothing with nothing. So Gajin did not equalised the positions, they removed them. Essentially doing the opposide of what was promised. It is the same for the other maps.
Normandy. Making more equal cap zones? Also failed. C cap moved to the middle and the sniping hill moved over the other teams spawn. So now instead of having a free C cap with long range sniping you get a free C cap with short range spawncamping. They literally put a Sniper Hill any tank (even a 2° russian tank) can use over the spawns of the other team. If you spawn on the old C cap side you are stupid to fight for the town. Go for the new C cap and rush the spawn camp hill. Then go for B and win by making the enemy quit.
And it is not like people did not tell Gajin during the Test server.
This is like the Trees. They received nothing but negative Feedback and still went ahead with the changes.
And I am not of the opinion that every change on the maps needs to be reverted. By no means. There are plenty of good changes. Fields of Poland has improved for the most part, but new bad stuff was added. 38th has some decent changes for A and B cap but C needs to be redone. Bring back the sniping and give equal cover for both sides during the decent to the cap so it is Sniping->Advancing->repeat till you reach the cap once again. That is not bad gameplay. All that was needed on that cap was more cover for the South spawn inside the cap and on the last meters to the cap as well as removal of some rocks from the North spawn sniping spots so more than just the gunshield is visible, thereby also making the sniping spots acessible for low profile traditional snipers.
See above. Spawn sniping is the only thing they left or even made worse in some cases.
if he is the X and the circle is the enemy you might be correct, but I believe it is the other way around. Blue spawn can snipe from their spawn into red spawn to this day. Get a tank with a rangefinder or remember the three ranges and any accurate high pen tank can kill anyone leaving the red spawn (northwards)without driving more than 15s from blue spawn, while having cover for yourself. This is one of the most famous spawn to spawn sniping spots and also one of the most unbalanced ones.
Think you misunderstood my point. The implication was that more people = more overall money spent because, well, its more of them duh. In reality most veterans spent alot of money individually.
And if bosses cater to people who will be gone in a few months because oh muh new shiny streamer game, then yes, that boss is stupid. Simple as
Fine fine it okay i get it people new players like CQC map and old need to adapt okay i get it sure then stop complaining about the CAS since those CQC lover ask for it
CAS was always a problem. and most of the camping points that were removed were spawn caping points that only one side had and the other no cover.
I came here to play a tank game, not Towed Artillery Simulator.
War Thunder isn’t a tank game. Its an airplane game that has tanks in it.
Explane the boats.
at this point, it’s a military vehicle arcade-sim.
There is no explain for the boats. Other than Snail see WoWS, Snail dos…
For those who support the removal of sniping spots answer me this.
How and where am i supposed to play: the dicker max, nashorn, waffentrager, jagdpanzers, strurer emil, flakbus, su85, isu122, su100p, asu85, archer, fv4005, nato, 90/53 m41m, breda 501, ca lorraine, pvkv ii, possibly others that are not CQC material?
Should i just stop playing them, or suffer?
That’s your problem (I’m sure those CQC lover will tell you this nonsense)
There is a difference between playing the terrain and finding elevated reverse slopes and playing mountain goat with a tank taking advantage of the relaxed physics of the game.
Perhaps you should go and play simulation then.
Seducing theory, but 10 minutes of queue to get to play on Sweden anyway isn’t worth it. The handful of SB exclusive big maps do not counterbalance the 250 CQC maps the game already offers.
You mean the spots that were on gentle slopes going up to spots where you could peak and go hull down? Like 38th where the sniping spots were on a flat plane with the spawns, and many of the other spots which were not glitch spots or spots that required manipulating your tank to try to get to that have been removed since 2016.
Japan is a different story, some of those spots were inaccessible to quite a few tanks.
Why is sniping “crummy”? It’s literally what my tank was designed to do.
Oh god. They blow around like they are in a tornado.
The only example of this I’ve seen is Middle East. The other spawn sniping points, like on Poland, still exist. But the mid-field points, the ones that do actually push forward the mission, they are gone.
The annoying thing with Middle East is that they could have left the sniping spots in but fixed the spawn sniping. Simply moving the building on the south side spawn would fix the problem with north side firing into the left spawn, and moving that one rock would do the same with south side firing into right. Instead they dropped these absolutely ridiculous rocks everywhere and blocked it off completely. And it’s not like the spots were super powerful otherwise, pretty much the only really clear shot was into the other sniper spot, and that led to absolutely epic battles.
Use the camping/sniping/ambush points that weren’t so egregious that they changed the maps.
Not going defend all changes but some positions were quite scummy. As a flanker not a sitter it hasn’t effected me as much as the “narrowing” upgrades to maps.
Of course they have probably gone too far, but in some cases the new cover provided (bricks or undulations) has allowed much freer gameplay; if only most teams did not still yolo in a train over and over… they did it no matter the map.
I’m almost positive since tanks were added they’ve overtaken Air playerbase exponentially
