What’s up guys…I’ve been having fun with Italy/France/Sweden, well, on arcade. But I mostly play RB at tier 7+.
As of currently, I wonder which nation has the most skilled ground RB players on average?
I recalled someone did a mini experiment with M44 which is widely available on most countries and found Japan to be the best performing.
From the statshark page, it does seem like Italy, then Germany, then Japan and France in terms of performance. But the 2A7V and 122Bs are OP tanks so I don’t find that’s a very accurate measurement.
France, Italy or Britain tend to be the best performing (often in the worst tanks too) throughout the BRs, and when there isn’t some hideous meta item (eg. LDIRCM Helis), then those 3 are the best at top tier also
The tragedy of recent statshark drama isnt even that we wont get the “live vivewer”, but that we will lose the access to the global data. Morality of how this data was obtained aside for now, it was an amazing tool that helped to dispell a lot of myths about the game (and was equivalent of 9/11 for the portion of playerbase that relied solely on people not being able to verify their claims).
Anyway
You could just average the winrates across the all BRs and get average winrate, but logically speaking such average wouldnt be accurate at all due to numerous factors. Lineup strength across the countries, some countries missing entire BRs worth of not only lineups but vehicles as well, as well as FotM.
If im not wrong the july spike coincides with release of CLAWS, which would be the FotM issue.
Still, this shows that if good players get to play the Abrams, it can perform well. But obviously they go elswhere.
The whole question “which nation has the best players” is flawed anyway as it doesnt account for people playing multiple different nations at different BRs at different times.
French main that will switch to US 5.7 for month will show up in US statistics for that month for that BR etc.
Very true. It’s like people were losing their minds how USSR top-tier was performing after the patch, which was mainly a result of everyone grinding the Buk (before many of these players returned to Germany/Sweden). Also wait for German results to show with the experienced players jumping in to play Flakpanzer 341 and the rest of the lineup these past few weeks. There really is always some story behind the stats, indeed.
USA mains are probably the worst player group in the universe, they can’t play their own nation, and also can’t play the nations that they claimed “OP as hell” or “Overperforming bro”. They are also some of the biggest clowns in the forums lol
The question on its own is flawed, same as any stats measuring KpB, K/D ratio, WR, mission score or anything else. All of them can be steered by playing in a squad, playing the “right” vehicle at the “right” BR or “right” point in time or server - or just by not spawning.
On top of that: The sheer masses of rookie / fresh players at any BR makes the stats on statshark even more useless.
From a holistic pov wt is a plain vehicle based shooter, so the current measurements are somehow comprehensible, but when i watch my son playing Ground RB it is obvious that the "best"measured on current metrics is unable to distinguish between a guy spawn camping and killing 5 rookies 3 times or the guy who defends the single cap point with a rather low mission score but denies enemies capturing it.
So as long as wt offers no real MVP rewards (like a mix of playing the objective, kills close to cap points, killing enemy top player, etc.) everybody has to decide on its own how he or she wants to assess certain statistics.
If you compare it to sports look at football/soccer - every midfielder gets measured by goals AND assists and goalkeepers can become MVPs just by denying the opposite team to score.
Think about it. The American nation is the most nerfed. They have everything broken. The worst helicopters, the worst CAS, with slow Mavericks and those terrible Hellfires. They even released a new helicopter with heavily nerfed missiles. The Abrams are very old, have the worst protection, their silhouette is penetrated, they are constantly nerfed, and recently they added a basket under the turret. Tanks don’t have APS, let alone LWS. The most nerfed IFVs, the Bradley, have been nerfed numerous times; no one plays it, it’s impossible to play. And so on.
And you’re saying that the weakest nation also has the weakest players? Well, then the win rate wouldn’t be 35%, but 0%.
The most skill-dependent nation has always been the USA. The most unified nation has always been the USSR. They call themselves BEER PLAYERS. Because their technology is set up to forgive mistakes, and it’s enough to press the W button to win.
for likelihood to win from having better vehicles almost always USSR.
for tryhardiness sweden
for overall quality players despite some abysmally overtiered and kneecapped vehicles france and britain are probably the top of the game. Its rare for myself to see a match where british or france players are not at the top of the leaderboards
