Where is russias 12.3 strike aircraft?

doesnt change the fact that it was a good aircraft for the striker role at its time

And IDS were introduced together with the MiG-29, yet that didn’t stop Russian players from throwing a hissy fit about a jet that can retaliate. A little later Pantsir was added which can look nearly vertically with its radar, so it had the benefit of actually knowing that there’s a CAS jet in the air.

People are quick to over-estimate 27K’s performance

No, people simply are aware that 27K was the most important reason why top tier was a sick joke for like a year, it left a similar stigma to the Leopard 2A5.

MiG-27K was actually OP during its heyday, simple as.

edit: I meant to tag @AlvisWisla, i dunno why it tagged you tho Shini.

Yeah, knowing doesn’t mean they can do anything about it.
I haven’t died to SPAA in any top jet outside 2000D, and 2000D was cause I was playing slow & low at the time on Breslau.
And no, F-4E, Mig-27K, and Jags weren’t as OP as you remember them to be.
Sure, CAS was slightly OP back then, SPAA corrections + CCIP at all times make them always OP.

Good thing I mentioned the other two (I didn’t).

Jag has half the amount of precision guided weaponary of the 27K, and F-4E didn’t have GBU’s yet (at the time Mavs were also significantly worse).

Did you even play at the time? I honestly doubt it, as far as I checked in the last 10 minutes, 27K was the most complained about top tier vehicle for GRB back then. Not BVM, not Strv 122, not Ka-52 or UHT… it was the 27K.

It was OP. Period.

I don’t care about your personal experience either.

I was playing Type 90, Abrams, and 2A5 during that time I believe. 2A5 or Leclerc.
Didn’t die to a single one back then largely cause I learned anti-CAS positioning tactics back in A-4E BRs.

Yea okay, I already know you’re lying and have nothing to back up this statement.

Waste of my time.

If he says the ADATS was a counter to the MiG, probably not.

Sincerity/honesty is the opposite of lying sir.
The fact you claim honesty is a waste of your time is sad.
Dishonesty is the only waste of time, it causes issues for all parties.

CAS didn’t learn how to counter hidden players for a long time.

@llSolitairell
Well, not everyone can play back then like I did.

“I have not died once to a 27K” is not honesty. This is a complete and utter lie because;

  1. You either did not play top tier at the time.
  2. You died a lot to 27K and just refuse to admit it because otherwise your argument holds no ground.
  3. You played the 27K yourself and are simply defending it right now.

You’ve already made yourself a clown here by comparing the 27K to the Jaguar, and I very vividly remember your sorry ahh claiming ItO-90M is a better SPAA than Pantsir (and you have played neither), so have I all the reasons to believe you 100% didn’t play top tier during 27K’s reign.

But hey, you always have the option to prove me wrong, compile all your matches since 27Ks addition, and show us that you 100%, no cap, fr fr, did not die to the 27K even once since it was added. The choice is yours.

Can it still not aim 90deg up? This was the primary reason the 27k orbital strikes were so op

Only the British one can, but MIM-146 was gutted last I checked so both are bad for various reasons lol.

Ive been mostly playing helicopters so I haven’t noticed how worse missile spaa are. But funnily enough you can hover above most of them at about 500m away and missiles cant even turn to kill you. vt1 takes like 1km to function

I didn’t play Mig-27 in ground RB until early summer of 2022. I ran CASless for most of my War Thunder playing at top BRs.
Players can have different experiences, just cause mine were different to yours doesn’t mean you or anyone else is being dishonest.

You can check my stat card BTW, over 1000 battles in top ground vehicles in the last 4 years.
The fact you imply that War Thunder itself lies is sad.

I never claimed I never died to 27K in all of War Thunder, I said I didn’t during its primary time of December 2021 - ~March of 2022.
So you’ve just shown you’re arguing against a fake position you created, AKA a Strawman fallacy.

BTW, when I compared ITO to Pantsir it was back before the physics changes to all missiles.
ITO still has a superior missile on paper, I’m just unaware if the overcorrection issue was fixed.

You don’t have to play SPAA to know how capable they are; you can face said SPAA to get all the information you need. This is common knowledge.
Also I didn’t compare 27K to Jag 1:1, which you’d know if you read my posts. Another strawman fallacy of yours.

They don’t have any “OP” CAS to begin with, OP CAS is in USA & France instead.
The strongest top tier tree already has powerful CAS: F-16C & F-14B.

Denying American superiority & praising weaker tech trees as godly? lol Okay…
I appear to have annoyed fans of Soviet equipment with this criticism of Russian equipment.

Differing experiences are fine, but you’re known for making outlandish claims and never backing them up with anything. This is one such example.

I never claimed I never died to 27K in all of War Thunder, I said I didn’t during its primary time of December 2021 - ~March of 2022.

Where’s the time period?

ITO still has a superior missile on paper, I’m just unaware if the overcorrection issue was fixed.

It’s worse on paper and in reality lmao. How can you still be upholding this ridiculous opinion when you’ve never had the opportunity to play either?

Gaijin themselves showed that VT-1 is worse on paper!

Also I didn’t compare 27K to Jag 1:1, which you’d know if you read my posts. Another strawman fallacy of yours.

What you’re doing rn is a strawman, since I never said you did it 1 to 1, I said;

You’ve already made yourself a clown here by comparing the 27K to the Jaguar

Irony is being lost on you.

You can check my stat card BTW, over 1000 battles in top ground vehicles in the last 4 years.

This means your battle sample is much lower than of most people in this thread, thereby less accurate… but that is still relevant because nobody with a functioning brain will believe your psycho statement of not dying to the 27K due to “learning” some tactic.

I already said, you can prove us all wrong by compiling all your matches where 27K was used, and show to us that you did in fact not die to the 27K in some imaginary period of your (that you didn’t even mention in your original statement).

The fact you imply that War Thunder itself lies is sad.

This here is known as tu quoque.

I’ve already given you the option to prove yourself, take it or just leave it (you won’t because you cannot prove us wrong on this - you will continue to argue for the sake of arguing like always).

He thinks he is being big brained here with some kind of reverse psychology.

This is the same person who claims the Ka-50 is the worst premium helicopter.

Russia has great CAS when you take into consideration the powerful SPAA, the good subsonic strike aircraft, the good multirole air superiority fighter, and the best helicopters in the game. Currently the US has the absolute best multirole CAS fighter with the F-16C, but Russia mains equate that to total domination.

This is literally all that Razer does lmao.

Next step is him calling you a Russian fanboy for “defending” Russian vehicles, when you state the complete opposite and it’s mostly him defending them.

I’ve never made outlandish claims in my life. All my takes are cold to lukewarm.
Not dying to something is a cold take. I’ve died to Pantsir exactly once, and I was going 600KPH turning toward it. That’s just a fact, facts are cold.

“back then” read the full sentence next time.

ITO’s missile is 50Gs out to ~9km, with a total range of 12km.
Pantsir’s missile is 32Gs out to ~11km, with a total range of 18km.

Battle sample doesn’t matter much cause that’s still over 2000 CAS spawns from people even if only 2 spawn in a match.

War Thunder doesn’t keep replays that long, that and the burden of proof is on active claims, thus the burden of proof would be to prove I did die to Mig-27s.
Just cause you like arguing doesn’t mean everyone does; I hate arguing.

You know, it’s ironic that you claim people that criticize Russian vehicles are defending them, while accusing others of doing what you just did.
Didn’t you say something about Irony earlier…

@SlowHandClap
Ka-50 not the worst premium, the worst goes to the ones no longer for sale.
The fact that you posted the statement it’s the worst when no one else did is sad. Note I said posted, I’m not saying you claimed it, as posting something isn’t the same as claiming it. Zero people to my knowledge have made the claim you’re claiming.

Soviet has great CAS, and great isn’t the best. And no SPAA is “powerful” compared to the CAS we have in War Thunder, all the SPAA is rather sad.

You literally parrot my statement that Mig-27K is great, and F-16C is superior.
I thought you claimed to disagree with me, but here we are in full agreement.

Back then, ITO currently isn’t better and I’ve stated that ever since the physics change was applied to all other SPAA and over-correcting issues have plagued a number of SPAA.

The fact you claim all players don’t know what they’re talking about is hilarious.
I was correct on everything here, which you agreed with me on in most of it.
Which means you yourself are claiming that you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Some things we agree on: Pantsir is superior to ITO.
Mig-27K is good.
Ka-52 is good.

Yeah it’s a waste of time honestly. Sometimes it’s entertaining but I can only tolerate them in small doses now.

@Turtlewoman810 what 12.3 strike aircraft do you want to see anyway?
