Would it be up to standard in terms of avionics? I haven’t been able to find much info regarding its radar, rwr, etc
The US already has the F-15E along with Israel in the form of the F-15I. They are perfectly capable of going toe to toe with eurofighters. I never once mentioned the US in this thread and I frankly think they’re doing perfectly fine, they’ve been cruising through since the Tomcat got added.
What I’m concerned about mainly, and excuse the personal bias (its the nation I play that I realize is consistently getting shafted) is Russia.
Russia since air superiority and even to an extent Apex Predators have had either their flight performance or avionics eat dirt, with even the saving grace missiles R-27ER being brought to near redundancy in the face of ARH missiles, and the R-77 combined with the N001 being the most ultimately sub-par top tier vehicle in the current meta, and I will challenge you to find something worse. The only reason it is works out is because people are so utterly braindead that they basically feed you kills. Before the 20km HMD change it was even worse because your radar already was horrendous when acquiring something and you had to wait for the enemy to get <=10 km away for you to do anything.
Now with the Eurofighter being introduced and Russia hitting their distinctive 90s developmental gap it is looking grim for game balance, And the worst part is nothing is gonna be remedied about it it seems because you usually get the following answers.

War Thunder also has a huge victim mentality combined with bitter vengeance style playerbase where they basically latch onto the mentality mentioned in point 2 above there and ride with it.

It really isn’t, and this shouldn’t even be an issue if you value ‘balance’ since the Rafale will still be worse than the F-15E/I in the meta, so in practice the only beneficiary here are the 3 nations with the longest history of ‘suffering’ getting a jet that has been requested for years now, and it’s an issue now because America is 2nd best??? like cmon bro where is the logic here
Just wait for 2nd or 3rd dev server for the love of god, i’m not happy that we are missing the J-10B either but give them a chance to put in in the game, because making noise won’t do anything now when it could be getting worked on right now for this update

Not really, Irbis falls behind NATO AESA quite considerably, it will be a powerful radar but lacking in accuracy and modern features.
RWR will be a digital like the other top tier RU aircraft, the main highlights of the Su-35S will be the TVC and capability to field every modern russian AAM, R-37M included iirc.

Well sorta, there is only so long they can prolong aircraft if their equivalents are being added (J-10B should come this patch since it’s a gateway aircraft between J-10A and J-10C plus it’s an early 4.5) and enough complaining will prompt them to add it if the model is complete
Apologies, I’ve just heard so much complaining particularly from US players that I failed to read your conversation properly.
I have said it earlier in this thread that I think Russia need an R-77 fix of some kind, 77-1 would be fine if they can’t fix the drag issue on the 77. I think Russia could also do with a SU-30 of some kind, I’m not super familiar with Russian aircraft IRL or in game but I hear the FM of the SU-27 sucks, and I figure a canard equipped version might be better IDK, the other option would be a MiG–29K as that would be a FM improvement over the SMT as well as having 8 missile pylons. I also think that Sweden should get the JAS 39NG or JAS 39E(early) which would give it 8 A2A missiles including 6 AMRAAMs, this could also in theory have gone to Thailand with them ordering some E variants earlier this year. Honestly those changes may not be enough right now, but alongside the Eurofighter fixing Germany, Italy, and Britain’s top tiers, that would be the most balanced the game has been for a long while in my mind.
Personally, I fly a few different nations, China primarily at the moment, though I am now working on Britain and slowly working my way through the US and Russia, so I don’t mind terribly who has the best aircraft, just that for overall enjoyment that every nation has something worthwhile and capable.
The thing that has been driving me crazy this patch is US players acting so hard done by when their currently best in class aircraft might stop being the top dog, like it won’t still be highly competetive while other nations, like Russia and Sweden now, don’t have anything even as good as the F-15C, let alone the F-15E.

There is an expectation for some sort of parity across trees but no guarantee. All you can do is wait e.g. ICE—> Typhoon
I’d rather they fix the R-77 instead of bandaiding the R-77-1 onto the problem, because when more advanced ARH missiles come we’re still gonna have the busted PID and drag of the R-77 problem.
Same thing as the R-77, the issue is the obscene amounts of drag and Gaijin knowing the FM is broken and not fixing it because it’s “not significant enough”

to this point, and I do agree they need to fix the drag issue, the R-77M doesn’t have the grid fins which are likely the issue of the R-77, so even if they don’t fix the R-77 the problem would eventually fix itself, but like I said, they need to fix the drag issue, everything else is for if they somehow can’t which I don’t believe is true.
And again, I don’t have Russia at top tier, but the SU-33 squadron vehicle seems to fly just fine to me, IDK what the specific issue is with the SU-27 but again only if they can’t fix the FM should the SU-30 be considered for a fix, which again I don’t believe is true, but the MiG-29K I think would just be a good addition personally
When I say “Easy time” I don’t mean literally easy, even a chimpanzee smashing a keyboard would get an ace. What I really mean by that is easy time compared to other airframes. Play 5 matches with F-15E and with the Su-27SM, I’ll take a wild guess on which one you had a better experience and was easier overall. And yes, it’s about "competing with ‘similar’ airframes’. How similar is the F-15E and a Gripen? F-15E and Su-27SM, F-15E and MiG-29SMT lmao. How similar will the EFT be to all of top tier, it’s even better than the F-15E, as if it wasn’t bad enough. (Still no legacy hornet tho)
And what’s the point of the second paragraph? I agree with that. EFT and Rafale C are a mistake, F-15E and Su-34 are a mistake. But the thing is, right now we have all of those and something like the Hornet is still not here, not even the A version without Fox 3s

radar from Su-30SM - N011 or even AESA variant N011M and rear facing radar N012 in the tail, same rwr as su-25t - “SPO-150” and by some accounts IR MAW. Also same engines as on Su-34, but lighter airframe.

You really are taking this as a “suffering competition”. At this point every single nation has suffered or is currently suffering from Gaijin’s questionable decisions. F-15E for US, but Hornet should’ve been added over a year ago. Su-27 is unquestionably inferior to its competition (Radar, flight model), GB lacked in actual competitive fighters for a good while, got the Gripen but this version is soon to be outclassed heavily. Germany got the F-4F ICE way too late, so on and so on, I could give an example for every nation.
But I guess instead of discussing the many problems coming with each update, y’all prefer to take part in the “suffering competition”.

Everybody who voiced criticism about it in the past was ridiculed as a “salty wehraboo”, or dismissed with the “Germany suffers” meme throughout the entire time. It certainly seemed like every non-German-main was fine with it.
And even now that Gaijin is finally boosting Germany’s top tier, they are denying it its better missiles (for obvious gameplay reasons) and giving the EF2000 more empty mass than it really has while at the same time reducing its engine power below its RL specifications.
