Truth is, and what I believe the majority of people talking about the F-18 think…it’s LATE. F-18A at the very least could be in the game for over a year. F-18C (and Su-33) could’ve been added earlier this year, instead Gaijin decided to sling F-15s everywhere.
Nobody is saying the US NEEDS new planes every single update. They’re saying the Hornet should be in the game already lol. With things like EFT, Rafale and F-15E around, F-18C is probably heavily outclassed already, god even against the F-15C probably. Meta now is slinging AMRAAMs as high and fast as you can go, and I don’t think a Legacy Hornet would outclimb and outspeed the vast majority of its competition.
Also some response like “Oh but now you feel like other nations”, “It’s the US’ stime to get nothing” is absurdly shallow. F-4F ICE was added late, Su-33 should’ve been added months ago. Some East German planes also took longer than necessary to be added… so on and so on. This happens to everyone. And is happening with the Hornet for at least a year lol. It’s simply late, we’re better off with the Super Hornet atp.

Su27 is great, even after the addition of AMRAAMs (not SM or 11A). I find getting kills quite easy and it is not difficult at all to admit that they are great planes, from there however, things are indeed a lot worse.
Mainly cause we built up hype over J11B and J10B, and then they just vanished, although I still have the slightest of hopes for them to show up later. Also people are quite annoyed about HQ17 being a ctrl c+v, and the only thing in addition is a thermal with 3 km more self destruction distance.

I think the Chinese communities were hoping for the J-10B and/or J-11B and not seeing them is disappointing, there’s still some hope but no crying or raging about it.
The US community on the other hand seems to feel hard done by with other nations getting potentially superior aircraft and feels entitled to both have the F/A-18 (which in fairness should have come over a year ago in it’s early form) and for the F-15E to remain the absolute best aircraft, which is incredibly annoying to hear from nations that haven’t had the best of times at top tier, Germany particularly but the British Gripen has a max of 4 R-Darters which is not very many missiles that are worse than the AMRAAM, and even the Italian Gripen is subpar compared to the F-15C let alone E. If anything it sucks that Sweden and Russia didn’t receive anything as the Gripen E/NG would have increased missile loadout to 8 afaik and the SU-30 could have fixed some of the flight model issues with the SU-27, or the R-77 being fixed would have been a massive help.

but just now claiming imbalance shouldn’t exist when they always have claimed oh if you just build an aircraft as steong as ours you’d have gotten one in the past from thr US community is what’s annoying me

Every X nation main will want to have an easy time with said nation lol. As soon as they’re dethroned, they’ll be bummed about it, obviously. Their once uncontested, shiny, point, click, get kill jet, now is getting shot down just as easily as everything else.
As for the F-18, yes, it should be in the game already, over a year minimum as you said. And that’s the main issue. It really is crazy we’re in EFT, Rafale, F-15E territory, yet not even the F-18A is in the game. And I wouldn’t even say I’m an US main, as I play top tier with 5 nations, soon to be 7. Gripen is falling behind, Su-27 general gameplay is painful, R77 is bad, J10/J11 B delayed feels a tiny bit weird, we might see them in the next major, F-18C is so late we’re better off just skipping to the Super Hornet, but I’m kinda scared they’d make F-18A or C a squadron or premium vehicles… Lots of things going on but sadly most people in this forum are just repeating “womp womp no hornet you already have F-15E”, brother… that’s the tip of the iceberg 😅

it’s not about easy time, there is nothing easy about AirRB, it’s about competing with similar airframes and missiles.
EFT right now represent everything that is wrong with current matchmaker and BR’s.
Also there a lot more “balanced” options for new top tier aircrafts for “minor” nations, like early models of Rafale, F/A-18C, Su-30(for Britain), J-11B, J-10B, but they choose the most braindead option, period.

So make the change now instead of letting it persist. Would you rather 12 more years of back and forth suffering or just end it now?

I would have loved for the powercreep to never exist and fair implementations from the beginning. Unfortunately they keep up a constant asymetrical powercreep.
I would also have been in favour of the game advancing at a faaaaar slower pace.

I have seen at least a half dozen people say it fly like an arcade plane in realistic lol. This is just the same case every time something that gets released is OP.

People who actually know what they’re talking about and have an actual love for history and aviation. Who has mommy’s credit card? Top Gun Timmy. Do you think Timmy even knows what an F-101 is? No, but he sure as f_ knows what the F-15 and F-22 are.
Honestly at this point, I believe the only reason the F-15E was added was to justify adding the Euro-canards, and at the moment the EFT isn’t merely competitive with the 15E it is vastly superior.
