youre literally lying though, E-2 doesnt and never did pull off the rails, and the 7F always did, i literally just tested it(although i didnt really need to as i play with both alot)

yes, still I dont know why this discussion was created, the mig29 at 12.7 is not good at its br and suffers much more than the mig23ml variants in compression and the premium mirage gets carried by its missiles(I hate them).
The mig23 radar was nerfed horrible by gaijin and its sad when you use the ir seeker to even get a lock on low altitudes(the only way where the mti(similiar to the pd mode) works(r24r is still a good missile).
I wouldnt mind if all soviet jets get their r73´s at their br´s bc the r60m sucks(would pick aim9j/p over it all day) at 12.7 and even at 11.7 and the r73 is easier flared than the magic2.
The overall performance of the mig23ml´s are ok at best at their br´s, there is much worse placed jets out there(italian f104).
eh i find r60ms to be better than 9js. and the issue with the mig29 is the fact they choose to give it the R27er(never used) instead of the r73(actually used)
a mig 29 with r73s and r27rs would be much more fun
r73 was never given bc us mains complained about it bc you could have locked f14/f16 within the capable range and launch missiles at greater distances as 1.5-2km…
The radar was worse back than and r27r´s are probably worse than r24r´s.
Then the FM was also inferior to the f16 by alot and then gaijin was forced to do a decission, they picked a few days after launch the r27er. Probably the didnt gave them the r73 bc us mains already complained about the r60 and r60m, which was nerfed quite alot by the time(like it is now)…
They probably feared angry us mains…
there were probably forums(dont have prove that the r60m was similiar to the aim9l(which is far from the truth even back then))
People complained because initially it was only the MiG-29 and F-16A (block 10) on the dev. And people were (rightfully) saying: “Hey maybe we shouldn’t let 1 plane have both SARH missiles + better IR missiles while the other has no SARH missiles and only the worse IR missiles.”
the r27r(NOT the r27er) and the radar were inferior to the f16 radar and aim7f.
The FM of the F15 allowed you to dive at the furball and launch aim9l at 4-5km range.
the r60m only get lockas reliable at 2-3km and that was more or less the max range.
R-73 is ofc a better missile than the aim9l but it the aim9l comes close to the r73 in performance and range.
Given the better FM and better BVR capabilities it should have had r73´s at release.
Instead gaijin gave the mig29 missiles which it doesnt had and win 2 bvr duels. After doing this it was more or less useless…
Absolutely not.
Again, the F-16A ADF was only revealed on release of the update. On the dev server where they tested R-73 only the base F-16A was available.

close combat the r73 wins but you cant really launch them further, and back then the irccm didnt rlly work(nowadays it works much better)
I never see 11.7 in my MiG-29A, I always get uptiered and get stuck fighting aim120’s with 2 skimpy er’s and R60m’s. I want the ER removed off my mig and replaced with the r73’s its supposed to have.
relax, the f18A and the F18C are coming soon.
12.3 and 11.3, 12.7 and 11.7 will become the purgatory of this game, still the same as when the f14 IRAF came to the game.
if aim9l was the old aim9l? yeah but aim9l has been very much nerfed.

will not happen due to too many new or inexperienced players will play them, so easy food for capable fighters. su27sm-players(easiest way to su30sm) will purge the premium f18 and the early version will not be played when the player already has the f14. so I dont think they will dominate…
